I woke this morning to the update ready to install. Worth the wait, this phone rocks.

Question for those who know: If I do a factory reset after I receive 2.2 OTA, will the phone remain at 2.2 or will it revert to 2.1-update1? I'm thinking that with all the lag reports, I'll do a factory reset after the OTA is complete (whenever it arrives).

Thanks!

arrived this morning between 445 and 545. It just showed up. I have a west coast number, but have since moved to the east coast if that means anything. Im in Baltimore, Maryland (was from San Diego, Ca). Both my wife and I got ours this morning.

P.S. just started playing with it, icons look have more color (the ones for wi-fi, etc..)- nice to have the screen rotate any way now. Keyboard works better (I use only the stock one) supports multi-touch. Tons of more settings, still exploring. I dig the numeric lock for the phone as I have sensitive information on my phone and I don't want anyone just picking it up. Calendar seems to support more colors, I'll have to go back into settings to see...

** update, yes multiple colors are supported. :)

Okay I was wrong, my wife didn't get hers this morning.

Seriously think you are jumping the gun... no lag reports here.

My wife woke up at 4:30am this morning to get a glass of water and when she checked her phone, there was a system update to Froyo! I checked my DInc and appears I'm not so lucky :/

I messed around with her phone for a bit, then went back to mine, and there's definitely a speed difference!

Got mine this morning but haven't had time to play with it. I'm from MA but am in MD at the moment. Will report back when I have had some time.

just installed froyo on my dinc . 230 AM pittsburgh pa

Well we officially can rule out that its been rolled out by city...my wife and I both have incredibles and we're both in pittsburgh.

Also, lets rule out 'activation date' as a method for roll out. Both Incredibles activated the day before official launch date.

Arrived overnight!!:D

Not so fast. I looked for update.zip in /sdcard.. not there.

So I 'accepted' the update. Phone rebooted, after a minute or so the triangle came up on the screen. Couldn't power down. After 45 minutes, pulled the battery. System restarted with 2.1-update1 still installed. Checked for "System Updates" ...'your phone is up to date' ..

I have s-off installed. ..

Any ideas?

I just woke up to Froyo! Looks like today is a big rollout day. I am loading now and will report back later.

PS - i'm in Nebraska.

We ruled both of those out days ago when Verizon said that the rollout was random

Got mine on the way to work this morning in the car. Heard a notification that I thought was an email message, checked the phone, and there it was. Only problem was that my wife could not get a hold of me while it was installing, but it was worth it.

BTW... everything installed fine but got me a bit nervous when the phone rebooted with the "DROID!" sound and droid eye. The reboot stopped on the eye for what seemed like 30 seconds. I thought it was locked up at the reboot. I picked it up ready to try to turn it off, when it finished booting and went to the opening screen. After that it appeared to be installing Sense since once it finished, I had new icons for both Bluetooth and Wifi.

First item I tried out was hands-free bluetooth calling. I was able to have my phone ask for a number and dial my wife without ever touching the phone. Finally, hands-free bluetooth like my RAZOR had.

Only bad part is that I work in a secure facility, so for the next 9 hours, my phone is turned off and locked away. So much for playing with the new features until I get off.
:(

Still nothing here in VA - and I have had it since day 1. Bill is paid in full and that bill is over $300/month. Where's the love Verizon?

Me too. I 'm in Va and I haven't seen it either. I installed the leaked OTA for 2.1 back in July and I am worried whether it will allow me to update to 2.2. Has anyone gotten the 2.2 update that has installed the iterim leaked OTA from July for 2.1?

I got the update the first day and reported this problem first thing. Choppy scrolling and typing lag. I am dealing with it till more people get the update to see if it is common before I wipe or someone finds a simpler fix. I would like to start a new thread but the mods would just move it.

Doesn't sound like a problem to me ;)
