You should do what makes you happy. I think a factory reset will do the trick. I will go this route when it finally gets pushed to my phone.

Chapter 11 for BB probably means that they will end up selling off their stores and going to an online/mail order only business model like NetFlix. Sort of like Circuit City.

Bad example...Circuit City doesn't exist anymore, period. As part of the liquidation process, circuitcity.com was sold, and is now a frontend for a completely different company (Systemax, same people who own tigerdirect.com and compusa). Not what you're talking about...it's closer to the Car companies using bankruptcy to get out of dealership contracts.

Got it myself. I love the mobile hot spot and flash. They were the only real features that I care about. The 720p video recording is nice, but I'm not sure how often I'll actually use it.

Got the first notification around 4pm, finally did the update around 5:30. My wife still hasn't gotten notification on her Inc.

still waiting in upstate sc.

anyone think the enable always on mobile data. could stop you from getting the update? ive had mine off and just turned it on to see. nothing yet.

shrug the difference in speed on my phone is VERY noticeable.

example opening "manage my apps" used to take 10-15 seconds half frozen while the OS computed all the app sizes.

now it take less then 5 sec and doesn't freeze the phone...

+10! Mine just opens and is ready to scroll apps instantly...no loading at all. Amazingly fast

Hopefully someone can answer this for me in here because I've asked about 3 times in other threads.

When wiping post 2.2 install, do we want to do 'Format Phone Storage' or 'Factory Data Reset'?

Thanks.

I just got my inc two weeks ago to the day, so I didn't have much going on with it just yet.

Did the .zip update today and noticed noticeable differences in speed across the board. 720p is a cool ass addition (it's just a freaking phone, which is awesome in and of itself to even offer it). Only thing I noticed was slower scrolling in the browser. Still haven't figured out if it's a setting, but it's honestly something I'll get used to. It's not choppy at all, it's smooth. They clearly tweaked the speed in which pages scroll in the browser. No doubt. Better or worse, I can't say. Probably irrelevant.

All I know is that I did a "Format Phone Storage" and still have Froyo 2.2. I did not try the Factory Data Reset (and won't). :)

Hey guys, right now my phone is unrooted and I'm still waiting for the OTA update. Should I root and turn on S-off then unroot to get the update? I'm not sure if I should because I heard that the update might block the ability to root. If that's the case then I should turn S-off so that I might be able to root when some devs make a froyo version. Any recommendations? Also I'm not 100% sure if froyo blocks rooting, if someone is positive it doesn't block it then I don't have to turn S-off right?

Since the update is a firmware/software update would factory reset just give you a clean slate of 2.2 and not bring you back in time to 2.1?

I'm just being paranoid now......

i bet at least half the people in the poll that voted no are now wishing that they waited until they got it so they could vote yes
