I'm encouraged to see that the number who have voted "I have received" has @ doubled every 24 hours.

Still waiting in SoCal, but I haven't checked "system updates" once all day. So that behavior is getting better.

OK I did but only like twice. So far.
 
It's 2:20 AM, September 1st, and I live in northern VA/D.C. suburbs. I just received my alert for the system update, and froyo is installing at this very moment! hoohaa!
 
To everyone still waiting, why haven't you manually updated? Its exactly the same thing. I took the plunge this afternoon and have loved every second of it. No problems at all. Quick as hell and everything is running as it should be. Not sure why all these others are having problems.

I don't trust myself with the process. It may be easy to you, and it might really be easy, but I don't want to risk me doing something totally stupid or doing something I shouldn't
 
I'm all the way in friggin' CHINA and I received the update notification today (September 1st 12:30pm) so that'd be August 31st for you guys I guess.
 
I decided to jump in and see if more people were getting Froyo since i hadn't got mine yet. Then i thought to check the phone for an update and there it was waiting for me! I'm from SF bay area if that makes any difference.

The rendering looks a bit different, looks like HTC updated some aspects of the GUI for the higher res. And it seems a tad quick with live wallpaper, ill have to do some more playing around.
 
Just got my 2.2 update.

Now everything is freezing up. Home screen is getting stuck, text messaging, phone, and contacts will no longer work at all (force closes every time), and whatever actually works is incredible slow. And getting the low on space issue again.

Just awesome.

Try factory reset.
 
Just got my systew update notification. 4 am northern ky. Didn't hit install yet. Battery kinda low. Anyone know where I would check for the file?
