With so many nightlies, which is the best to install?
I just installed CM6 2 days ago and have no issues that I have discovered thus far.
Is there a changelog for all of the nightlies to review?
The two text messages are a problem with CM ROM's commonly referred to as "Phantom Voicemail".
For the 9016 fix, you can download Handcent from the market and blacklist the number. The reason that one is showing is because the Sprint VVM app is notified of a new voicemail by a text message - unfortunately, AOSP ROM's are unable to properly hide it as of yet.
For the other fix, I have the same problem and have not found a solution to it yet. I just clear it every time I boot up the phone....

hopefully this is fixed in the next update. when you flash an update does it wipe your apps and settings? if that is the case i'll just deal with it till a finished 2.2 rom comes out.
I dont know if theres a changelog but i think the wiki site has some info. The nightlies are just little upgrades done on a daily basis. I find my phone has been much quicker since the 8/29 nightly compared to the original rom file (that was the first nightly i did). I generally update once a week, as I havnt seen anything too significant to warrant doing it every day. As far as I could tell, the only thing i got from a nightly was the gps was sporadic at first, but with a current nightly update, its been pretty spot on.
I was searching for an answer about the GPS issue and came across your post. I appreciate the info, however I updated my CM6 with the 9/8 nightlies and haven't seen any type of improvement with GPS. When I use Google Nav, it still says "searching for GPS" and when I use google maps, it doesn't pinpoint me as close as it did when I was on the Zen Rom or any other Rom for that matter. Has be about a 1/4 mile away from my location. Have you updated since the 8/29 nightlies and if so, have you seen a change with the GPS function?
2 thoughts about the GPS issue are going around here and xda, and how you can get a lock on your location for GPS
1. First solution is longer. First, make a nandroid of your current CM6. Second, download and flash Fresh 2.3.3. or 2.4.0. After you flash fresh and everything is up and running, go into the map app and get a solid GPS lock on your location. Third, restore your nandroid to CM6 and then you will have a solid GPS lock. Everything should work fine then
2. This is the solution I have found that works for me (don't ask me why just give a try). After I flash a nightly, the first thing I do is go back and forth with the places app (this gives an exact location on the bottom the screen), the map app and nav app. It usually takes a 3-5 minutes at most and then I have a solid GPS lock. Everything works good from there
I know the second solution works because I was in the mountains of Tennessee for a wedding and the Google Nav worked perfect, never lost the GPS lock. I have tried this with all the stable uncapped kernels with no issues
On a side note if anyone needs to update their PRL, the first solution is how you update the PRL. Nandroid, flash fresh, update PRL and then restore back to CM6

No GPS issues either.
I was reluctant about rooting for a while. And when I finally did it i honestly
was not very impressed..until I flashed the 8/9 nightly w/oc widget and I am very impressed!

Ok, another "issue" if you will...
So Angry Birds (game) was finally released for Android a few days/week ago. I've been waiting for that game since I first played on an *shreek* Iphone/Ipod touch.
On this ROM, I can't find it in the market (yes, unsupported apps checked via settings) Also, I can't restore it from a Ti Backup either.
Anyone know anything about this, or other apps that aren't available for 2.2/Froyo?
Edit: Seems it's specific to this ROM. I just checked with a co-worked on an Incredible on Froyo and he can find it via the market and install it.
I'm going to have him send me the apk and I'll try it from there.

Get your Angry Birds here. There's a link to the .apk in the second post.
To install this mod....can I just wipe and then flash the latest nightly found here: Index of /cm/nightly/heroc/
Or do I need to install RC1 first then flash the nightly over it?
ok, so i have CM6 installed, & flashed overclockedfix.zip, w/ overclock widget installed, set @ min 245, max 710, but if i pick 768mhz, my phone keeps rebooting, or just locks up.Just for the future reference, if you decide to flash RC1, I believe the stock kernal is good for wifi, but if you decide to flash the uncapped kernal there might be some issues with wifi. Just look at this first and browse through [Kernel] UncappedKernel for CM6 {GPL} - xda-developers
