I had the same issue and tried the update, but now all my applications are not showing when hitting the home screen. :(

Getting a DX. It got delivered today. My work paid for the DX and used their new every 2 but I have to give my Droid to a coworker. I will probably buy a another droid if I can find one relatively cheap. But I dont know when that will happen or if it even will.
 
i get to the 10 step and i get stuck, when i reboot the phone and hold the up on d pad nothing happens, then when i go to open RSD Lite 4.6, it just keeps popping up the open/save menu. when i hit open it goes right back to the same menu. im not to computer friendly so plz keep answers simply.
 
Sorry if it's been mentioned/answered, but I'm kind of panicking.

I made it to step 28 (Windows), but can't get past it.

I click on Install/sdcard/update.zip (deprecated), and this is what my screen says:

-- Install from sdcard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:update.zip install blocked
Installation aborted.

I'm using the FRG01B rom provided in the link in the OP.

Any help will be greatly appriciated

*edit: Just tried using the FRG22D one as well. Same error

Hey OMJ, I was trying to root my droid using Ubuntu (linux OS) and well everything checks out but when i finish installing SPR and reboot to get to it, That defualt recovery loads up instead of SPR. why is that?? i'm following the guide step-by-step..

you have to get into SPR right after flashing SPR. If you get booted up into the os once it will be gone because of the froyo install recovery script.

What would i do pull the battery?

i recently did this with th help of a friend and i got adventurous and tried to change roms. when i rebooted the droid graphic and x graphic just continue to run. please help im in over my head
