Hi everyone. I've been running my Hero for a week now. Thought it was time to join this forum and get more out of my new toy...:)

Just thought I'd follow in the footsteps of "vastis" and say hi and thanks to everyone on here for all the advice, tips, etc., etc. - they are useful!

Just embarked on the HTC Hero road and seriously impressed with the phone tho still getting used to it being a staunch Nokia/Symbian fan for the past few years. Using the stock ROM at the moment with no plans to "swap" it out until I know the phone better.

Without starting a fresh(?) debate of "mine's better than yours", was determined I was gonna get an iphone 3gs till the Hero came around the corner. Once I'd seen and tried the two it was a no brainer (for me anywayz) as the Hero is MUCH more in touch with my life, what I want to do and expect from a smartphone. And now HTC have confirmed the Android 2 update (bypassing 1.6), things can only get better. Great little phone (and much more fluid since the ROM update).
