Anyone here excited for Halo Reach?

Halo has been a big part of my life. I know it sounds geeky, but I've made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun all thanks to those Halo 1, 2, and 3 lan parties. I'm sad to see this being Bungie's last Halo Project and I hope 343 studios does not screw up the franchise. The music of the game is just awesome. Everyone knows the rock version of the song (the Halo 2 theme) played by Steve Vai (one if my favorite guitar players and one of my guitar heros)

Anyways, I'm getting Reach ready with
New Gaming TV
New Xbox 250gb
New surround sound.

I think im good :)


anyone else a Reach/Halo fan?
 
i'll likely buy it although i was totally turned off the halo franchise with halo 3 and the moronic adolescent newbies screaming over the mike. as a habit now i always mute every one when ever i play halo 3.

I have my copy reserved already. Love the Halo series and story. Wasn't a big fan of Halo 3 or ODST though, but this one looks promising. I do like 3 better then ODST though. So glad I never bought ODST.
 
Never was a Halo fan so I'm gonna pass on purchasing it but I'll likely borrow it from a buddy just to play the single player.

many a nights spent playing over lan and just chilling playing multi player campaign with some friends on a 60 inch screen :D
 
Gonna grab this game as well, dunno if it will be a hit for me on multi.. but it will certainly be a epic playthrough when it comes to singleplayer. Will be bit funky seeing its their last Halo game for a good long time, if not the last.

Must they make a great cross console game with their new project! :)
 
I'm a Halo fan here. Not so much the multiplayer vs modes, but single player and Firefight mode with friends. I'm looking forward to Reach and also have just recently added a 5.1 surround set up.

They should make a new Marathon game instead. Now THAT is classic Bungie.
 
Halo is far from beating a dead horse. I will admit that Wars, and ODST sucked, but the main 3 games where great and I think Reach should be good as well. (I hope at least)
 
Eh, I liked Halo 1 and 2 but I didn't like 3 too much and didn't like odst. Reach is suppose to be different, so hopefully it's better.
 
I was one of the people that enjoyed the maps from Halo 2, but the gaming experience other than SP went down after that. I can now and then still play the custom gamemodes vs friends, but those times I usual have % into my blood as well! :p
 
Not excited about this at all. Halo has got to be the one game series I really hate with a passion. Played 1, 2, and 3 and they were all meh at best. Only fun I ever did have with them was multiplayer and that was just because of the names me and my friends would come up with for our players.
 
reach has definitely added a few things, but nothing too major at all. it's pretty much just a short story and campaign. not worth buying unless you plan on spending alot of time in multiplayer (i prefer cod) the campaign is good but only 10 missions and really doesn't take long to go through at all. i will say legendary mode is INSANELY difficult compared to the previous halo games in legendary mode.
 
my bad my bad. im not so sure about black ops yet. not the same people that did modern warfare, so that makes it a little dicey
