So I'm having to trim out most of my widgets because my phone just can't handle it, even OC'd. Home screen keeps reloading after a moderate amount of activity, and beautiful widgets is the worst offender. Whats everybody's secret?

You have a program conflict or you need to wipe and reflash. Your phone (even not OC'd) should deal with as many widgets as you need. I would remove widgets one at a time until your phone is stable. If you get down to no widgets, then reflash your rom and wipe

I'm suspicious of the google voice or my6sense widgets since they're newest, and people have also been reporting some lag issues with GV.

also the new xtr will be out soon, so if nothing else I'll flash that.

What theme and volume control widget is that?
 
Here is the newest of mine. thetomlin2 you inspired me with your floating dark tree wallpaper to switch from nonsensikal blue theme to black. It allowed me to put good use to my beautiful widgets ghost skin :D I also am challenging myself to limit myself to only 3 home screens. I normally always use 7 and mostly use widgets, but I cleaned up everything and as you can see really cleaned my home screen, normally it would be completely filled. Launcherpro with 3 docks helped me place apps there instead of on home screens.

Also, I changed the home screen a bit and added those pics as well. I love customizing!:D

I used to have thetomlin2's wallpaper before root, I really liked that one, and may switch back someday.
 
pretty sweet setup, but I'm most jealous that you're getting 4 bars. I don't even get TWO bars inside the verizon store, and this is a big city! 95% of the time I get *zero* bars, and my 3g drops whenever the garage door closes :(

L O L!

I laugh only because I've done many similar things in the past (and the present). I try to blame it on lack of sleep, having two small kids, or general distractions, but all too often I feel that it is a product of the grey hairs on my chin reaching my grey matter.
 
I'm looking to customize my layout a bit more than just re-arranging the HTC widgets and whatnot. Seems like the best things to do with this with is:

Beautiful Widgets
Launcher Pro (Plus?)
Bettercut

is there anything i'm missing? Bettercut is used to make custom icons, correct? is there a specific size i need to make the images?

any additional tips?

LauncherPro now allows you to change the icons and the text beneath them... No need for BetterCut. I have Plus, but I am unsure if you need Plus to change the icons.
