Root Birdmans new rom flyX

i'm using the tranquility one and i was gonna use this but i see that your experience alot of soft reboots.. i'm getting the soft reboots on the tranquility one

I got fly x running perfectly with nextheme and build.props installed. But I was wondering could it have been the FlyX that made adb not recognize my phone anymore?? I type in "adb devices" or" adb ian" and it keeps telling me device not found. Also when I went into pc mode it asked me to reinstall my phones drivers then asked for a disk?? What's going on?? I like expirementing with adb and its a great tool that we all need to have.

its a 2.2 error we all have it, you have to put the phone in windows media sync mode and then adb will work :p
 
I noticed another thing that kind of threw me off. I don't see" FlyX" under the version of my phone anymore. Is that normal?? I still have the bootloader and im obviously deodexed if I have a theme running right??

It just says 2.2 now. It doesn't bother me that much. I just wanted to know what was up. Thanks guys
 
Running FlyX .1 Final.

With the newest Build.prop from Rom Manager form last night (9/7).

Also using Dark Gray StatusBar Theme from:
Froyo 2.2 Dark Gray StatusBar - xda-developers

Street view was the only bug that I had it was fixed with the attachment from:
xda-developers - View Single Post - No Street view with new rom

As for ADB issues put it in Windows Media Sync mode and use the directions and drivers from:

I don't have any soft resets or stutters. Honestly don't have a single problem that I can think of now. Wonder if the OTA will even be worth it.
 
Is anyone else experiencing a lot of lag during either incoming or outgoing phone calls? When I make a call, the screen goes black and then the phone call screen shows up after 5 seconds (but the phone is making the call the entire time). And during an incoming call, the screen turns on but the accept/decline screen does not show up for another 5 seconds.

I think that is built into the system, unless someone is staring at their phone when they get a call they aren't going to notice it
 
well i just installed the FlyX rom fresh without the tranquility one.. and its running perfectly!

Not quite :)

Try launching the "Places" app.
Now click restuarants.
Now click on a resturant with a picture.
Now click on the little person icon - which will take you to street view. It will say no app found for google.streetview.


Now get the patch from my post a few posts up. That will make it perfect.
 
Anyone else notice _mrbirdman_ just tweeted that FlyX v1 is coming soon and "v1 is gearing up to blow peoples minds if all goes according to plan :)"??

Wonder what's in store? My first experience with FlyX was decidedly negative...I'd be willing to give it another shot if Steven Bird is claiming to "blow peoples minds"...

I thought we had v1? Guess we'll see.
curious as to what you found negative about flyx?
 
To install FlyX over rooted 2.2, do you have to do a cache/data wipe? Does this make you lose all your icons setup or anything like that?

I didn't do it when i installed 2.2 through rom manager - and it kept all my settings in tact, but I'm just curious if this will do anything since it's a different rom.

No, what we have now is FlyX v0.1 Final. I am looking forward to what v1 brings, currently FlyX doesn't really do anything for me since I have removed all the bloatware myself.

Yeah. He says to wipe when installing FlyX so best to back up your apps..

Well damn it he shouldn't have called it "final" and what happened to .2 .3 .4 .5 .6 .7 .8 .9? :D
 
Decided to give the new leak a try. Unfortunately, I lost root and the XDA Developers Droid2 method isn't working for me. :(

Anyone running FlyX having the same problem?
