OTA Update Starting today?

Yeah I have massive choppiness on both default Home and in PandaHome. Well, at least when the phone wakes up, or when I go back to home after being in an intensive app for a long time. The screen takes a while for all the widgets to load up, and sometimes doesn't respond for a few seconds to swipes. After a few seconds it seems to smooth itself out, tho. Bscly, if your phone is loaded w/ 'live' widgets and lots of apps (like mine is), it's going to create lag / choppiness.
 
Keep getting notifications on my phone, hoping it's the udate but it's just gmail telling me someone has replied to this thread. And I turned email notifications off for this site. AH!!!
 
Per the update map, Steve Irwin now has the update, and someone in Somalia (Eric Cartman?) had their update stolen by pirates. ; )

If anyone does get the update could you try the following before you install it?

*Click install and update
*Once the phone reboots (before you get to the recovery screen) pull the battery out.
*Pull out the microSD card and put in a memory card reader.
*See if there is a update.zip on the microSD card
*If there is please upload it to rapidshare and post a link here

After you do that you should be able to power back on the phone with the SD card and the update should continue.
 
Yo aguillon5, I'm really happy for you and your phone, but Beyonce deserves the update more than you, so....

Depends which batch of droids you get (what factory date they were manufactured). since its a small incremential update, they might skip putting 2.0.1 directly from the factory and let Verizon reps either update it quick before they give it to you or you do it yourself.
