so has anyone seen if this update can be extracted from the phone and uploaded to those of us that were not lucky enough to be in the first batch of updates? (launch day buyer i was hoping i got it
)

BGR (or boygenuisreports) just posted a article saying that according to verizon only 10,000 people will get the update by midnight tonight and then on Dec 10th they will roll out 200,00 more updates a day until every droid owner has been updated! Thats VERY ANNOYING VERIZON!![]()

Hmmm, I had a tilt2, piece of crap. Great fanboi exclamations at first, but it's a bulky phone and doesn't do 1/2 of the droid.
Thanks for playing, how is your droid update going?
Why is this annoying? Everyone will get their's in just a matter of a few days, geez! Infact, no one was scheduled to get it until 12/11/09, yet many are getting it early. There is nothing to be annoyed about.
Hey PardNah, how ya making out with finding Android counterparts (to iPhone apps) for your Droid?<snip>
(iPhone convert to Droid, day 5)
@krichek: My wording was bad, but I was saying the same thing.
it will show up in another 30 minutes. if you could though read the post on how to get the update zip before you update and give some love to the rest of us no so luckyI want to shoot myself because I received the update in the notifications bar... and I decided before I start to install I should kill some tasks, so I did and then it went away. Now when I go to "Settings"->"About phone"->"System updates"... It shows that there isn't one. I messed up.
Yes, please try this out. It would let all of us get the update now, and without stressing Verizon's servers.
Just a guess, but maybe restarting the device will let you see the update again?
This has probably already been asked at some point, if so I appologize, but I assume there is no way to initiate the update?
are you sure it was the firmware update and not the google map update notification? i got a notification and got all excited but it was just the google map updateTried that. Nope. Very weird. I did read on Verizon's site that if you choose "Install later" it will remind you every 30 minutes.
It doesn't say what will happen if you're an idiot and use task killer to remove the notification that says there is an update available.![]()
Please, someone with the update, did they fix the random accidental scroll when tapped glitch?
I think that happens when the screen is finger greasy more often then not. Is this an issue w/ a lot of users?
