OTA Update Starting today?

Please don't misunderstand me, I was just saying that I was hoping they didn't mess with it -- hoping that pic is not real. I don't know how long you have been a VZ customer but they have a bad habbit of getting their fingers into everything.

To be honest, most of the update sounds great; it's just that screenshot is too close for comfort to VZ's old dirty tricks.

Dumping it onto everyone at once and making the network slow for everyone for a few days wouldn't be much fairer now would it?
 
Everyone will know when I get my update... the update package will be posted on the "Root droid" thread, as per request over there. :D

Do you even see a single VZW logo in that picture? (edit: beyond which was already there and is only a network location identifier) its not VZW that did anything. Try downloading the SDK direct from Google and poof that new unlock screen is there. Its Google's change. Quit whining about things until you actually at least have an inkling of a clue about that which you're whining!
 
Woke up this morning and my droid says it wants to update it self. Pretty fast update. Now I'm at 2.0.1.

-I noticed Verizon Wireless is stamped on my connect the dots security screen.
-Also noticed to answer a phone call, it's not the curve slider any more, the answer is on the left and you drag it to the right and ignore is on the right and your drag it to the left.
-Odd thing I'm also noticing is, my screen timeout is set to 10minutes but from the connect the dots security screen, the screen times out within 5 seconds. Grrrrr..

Verizon Wireless is on my connect-the-dots screen and I DON'T have the update.

and if you really did search... perhaps you need to spend some time on google reading the how-to's on searching? It was on the first page of this very same thread. Post #41.

another jokster that likes to pad his numbers , do you want a lolipop? that link on post # 41 is not the same destination as my link , maybe you need to learn how to PAY ATTENTION ! they also have lessons on how to pay attention on google ,when you have toime you should make a visit. some peoples children.

Nope it has never been there. I bought mine through VZW sales (pre-order) and got it the Monday or tues after the launch.

I have 2 co-workers that got one from the store and they have it.
 
Are people really getting stuck on "Install now" or "Install Later" when trying to figure out how to update their phones, that they need step by step instructions?
 
Like I said in my earlier post, Let The Complaints begin. So to all the complainers, I have a great Idea. Google, Verizon, and Motorola are hiring. Please let us know when you get a job with any of these companies so you can change things on the phone that are to your liking. Thanks for any help that you can provide in this manner. Oh and one other thing, i still have not got my update, so if you can help with that as well, it would be appreciated.
