Root [ROM] ApeX V1.0 for Droid X - An AOSP Experience (10/20/10)

Just did the *22899 and signal got much better. This rom is very fast much better than stock. I also added the nextheme which is great. I reloaded my LPP is there a way to delete the tranqulity launcher?

yes, open terminal emulator and type the following two lines (press enter after each)

su
launcher -rm

EDIT: the Phandroid app does not like line breaks, apparently :(

I installed LP and uninstalled the stock launcher. It runs super fast and super smooth, just like it does without LP.
 
good instructions, i just installed and am awaiting reboot :) ut oh, isn't rebooting...will wait a little bit..been 2 minutes...sweat is starting..:eek:....gonna go pee..its still hung on moto icon..pulling battery...restarting...gonna walk away for a few...dammit i followed instructions exactly..hope i can do a restore....nope i am screwed

the initial boot can take up to 5 minutes!
 
wow, my reading comprehension is crap today.yeah, if you're stuck at the M, makes me think you didn't mount /system. If you mount correctly, the option changes to unmount.

a factory reset will not help because your system partition is wiped. You need to use the sbf file to restore your phone. there are good instructions here and at rootzwiki
 
do you have the links, i cant find rsd lite or the sbf and will it work?? is there hope??

the search feature doesnt work well for me on this forum:(

downloaded the rsd lite and sbf file, phone isnt recognized by computer, it just hangs on the x and rsd cant see it

I posted earlier but I saw the quote got messed up.....if u long press your homescreen and select wallpaper you will see one called tranq and it should be there or at least it is on ny phone

I left it out of the launcher's wallpaper selector this time. I put it up on the 2nd post for anyone who wants to download it.

Also, it is still the default wallpaper, so long as Google doesn't change it for you when you sign in and restore your settings ;)

The default wallpaper is always here:

framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/default-wallpaper.png

Follow the steps in the first post for a clean install. That will remove all previous themes and rom aspects. It will also delete your apps and settings. If you choose not to wipe data and cache, you may preserve your apps and settings, but also possibly cause problems with ApeX.
 
I downloaded the file..and did the instructions except for the fact where is the ROM? Do I unzip it before the sdcard? Just place the folder in the sdcard or just the whole zip file..I'm extremely confused..

Keep it as a zip. Just drag the file on to the sd card. The instructions are super simple just follow every step listed in the first post. Dont unzip it :)
