Root [ROM] ApeX V1.0 for Droid X - An AOSP Experience (10/20/10)

I am trying to install but I can not boot into recovery using either bootstrap or Rom manager. Does this have something to do with running the install-recovery.sh after overclocking? When I try to boot into recovery my phone just restarts and boots normally, any ideas?

Make sure you have granted Bootstrapper superuser permissions.

Hit bootstrap recovery a couple times for good measure. Then boot into recovery. It should work.

The installation wipes /system, which will wipe bootstrappers files from your previous install.

It has superuser permission, I hit bootstrap recovery 5 times and it said success every time, still won't boot into recovery.

I'm going to get some sleep and try to figure it out tomorrow, maybe an uninstall and reinstall will get it working again.

OK loaded up V1.0, just wiped cache coming from RC2 modified the OC file to what I have been using and its flying along great.

Love it so far but man does my Droid X get toasty! I just have the default OC settings that you mentioned were on at boot. Get's hot quick!

REQUEST! not sure if its possible to have another version of NEXtheme with the vanilla notification bar??? that would be a great option for the theme also!

I'm going to be installing this once I get to work along with a theme. I would rather keep the stock android look slider and not have that get themed when I install it. What part of the theme do I need to remove prior to installing to avoid having the slider themed? Also what is the command to disable the auto-start of the overclocking? Thanks.

V1.0 installed perfectly over the top of RC2 without wiping anything. I installed through ROM Manager just to see if it worked. (It did, flawlessly.) I then put NexTheme on top of it and everything's great. I tried the 1.38Ghz mod yesterday and my phone didn't like it but 1.1 seems to be fine. I'll try boosting it up a little bit later and see how far it will go.

Great work (as always) Fab.

Also if you go into terminal emulator type

su
overclock

It will give you the options

New version seems to pair and re-pair perfectly with my BT headset. I'll check the car at lunch, but it looks like the problem is fixed - thanks!

Uninstalled Bootstrap and reinstalled, worked perfect

Now I am running v1.0 with my custom OC @1.2GHz, themed, and LCD density at 200

Thanks for the awesome ROM Fab!

I love this new patch and my x is running great ....only problem I have is that when I go to edit the options in terminal I type the selected option in I get a :not found ...im just wondering how it could not be found unless im typing it in wrong again lol

Just curious on how you changed tweaked the overclock settings to 1.2?...I look in the forum but can't seem to execute any of the ways I see posted

Is there any particular reason why this version of Apex wouldn't handle overclocking as well as RC2? Im unable to go above 1.3 GHz, with RC2 I was able to use 1.42 GHz.

Fab,

any reason i should jump to this over RC2? other than the BT fix?

is there a BT update fix for rc2?

Are you only changing the frequencies?

Most of the OC files posted by others have increased the stock voltages to get higher speeds. Fab's overclock only increases the frequency, not the voltage. So if you're just changing the frequencies, you won't get the higher frequencies without increasing voltage.

I changed the sampling rate and up threshold by default to 32000/50. I don't think that should keep you from being stable at higher clocks though...I'm stumped. Anyone else experiencing lower overclock stability frequencies?
