I ordered mine on 14th October from BMP and i got an email saying "Stock Alert: Will be available in 10 - 15 days, We shall keep you updated"

I get an email every 2 days saying "Stock Update: Your Desire HD hasn't come back in stock yet we will process your order when we receive more"

I hope i get it next week i dont want to wait no more than next week :(
 
i got mine today from Three. sim free PAYG for 449.95.
how do i cancel my MPD order?
anyway, i nvr thought three will hv stock and apparently nobody knows it. as what the sales man told me. I'm the first in their shop. LOL.
 
Saw a sign outside one their shops today.

I'd be worried that even if it's not network locked or branded the serial will still be tied to them so will get late updates.
 
This bites. I'm gonna be really annoyed if i have to wait another week to get my DHD.

I've emailed them twice trying to get them to confirm their delivery dates. No responses what so ever.
 
Ahhh **** sake!. They've increased the number of days to 12. This means everyones going to get their HTCs in November. I thought HTC were saying it is going to be released in October? *ANGREH FACE!*

i email them about 5 this week. no response till now. fed up with them. LOL
 
oh ya, is the Desire Z is out? i saw the demo in cpw. quite nice too.. and play with HD7 at o2. not bad the HD7 but i'm not used to WM7.

Yeah I cancelled it, my finances have changed over the past couple of days so I can't get it..Instead gonna get it from hong kong where its minus the VAT here and I can also haggle a bit

Basically fill out the form, send it to Sales and they will cancel for you

Thats my fear..And more than likely yes...And with the updates on 3, it usually includes the logo boot and an 3 app..Firmware update takes an age..Deisre users just getting the 2.2

Desire Z is nice too isn't it..Not had a look at the HD7 yet..I intend to this weekend..if im well enough :)
 
Desire Z is nice too but my last phone was a BB 9700 so I want to have touch screen now. hahah. nice keypad too on the desire z.

Why are they so bloody slow.

Also in the update they sent LAST WEEK they promised an update by the end of this week. I'm up in Hull this weekend, plenty of time to kill going round mobile phone shops seeing if they can match/come close to the MPD deal

Though it could be that it's NEW customers that are waiting 12 days, current customers are in one of the early batches
 
Play.com now saying 3 - 5 weeks for DHD. My MPD order still says pending stock and 12 days for a new order. Will be a dual core HTC out by the time I get one of these!

I would have went and got a PAYG but i cant afford it, like all at once. Need money for uni so thats why i'm after monthly. But i'm really cheesed off that it's going to be released in November...

Do you mean 25-26th? Or The Monday and Tuesday in November? Realised that the 12 days free delivery on MPD hasn't shifted down to 11 days today :S
 
Yeah I had a go with it the other day too. The cheap feeling handset, Bing Maps instead of Google Maps and no expandable memory has put me off a bit, but I really like the idea of Xbox Live :D

I think they update it manually... it always changes at random times in the day, in which case it won't get updated until Monday...

Three has them on contract now.

I have one being deliverd on Tuesday and they come up as available now, in shops and online.
 
Hmm a downgrade plan eh? I'm tempted now haha. Would they have the same plans in store as they have it online?
 
Oh and: they let you upgrade 6 months before end of contract, and it starts ith a new contract.

So actually my current contract ends mid-March, but they said I could upgrade mid November.

I rung in to chat to Upgrade team about what would be on offer in Nov, they actually made me an upgrade offer for an iphone4 for *now* which I refused, but then said I wanted the HTC, and they said it would be a

What put me off was the fact that

  • No flash
  • No silverlight
  • No custom HTC overlay from the off
  • Zune sync software
Bar that, its not all bad. Give it 18 months and i'll look at it again :)

I am not sure whether they do the same in store or not - but I was told, that whilst I could not place my order on the phone and then pick up the phone in store, I *could* cancel my phone order and visit in store and have the same upgrade plan there.

However, you can never be sure whether that's just "sales rep BS" or not. :rolleyes: So, because I had a client to meet today and could NOT go into town, I decided Tuesday would suffice.

So far, everything I've read (googled it) seems that you could get even better offers and free accessories in store. They're open tomorrow - cannot hurt to walk in and ask! (Then POST BACK!!! :D )

On the "downgrade" 6 months into my previous contract, I rang up and asked could I get a cheaper plan as I didn't need all the minutes, etc that we had and they were like "sure, take this!" and lowered my package to
