So I don't know how many of you saw my last thread,
But basically in one day I used two gigs, and then one day later a full gig.
I was NOT - Rooted,
And I did NOTHING to use that data, not streaming, not youtubing, not map downloading. I honestly WAS NOT on my phone the times they claimed I was.
I called AT&T and they told me I clearly did not understand that my phone uses "background" services.
I waited until we talked to our local business guy (my Captivate is through my company), and he was JUST as arrogant. He kept saying that I used WAY more data then he did, blah blah blah. I told him that I KNEW what I was talking about, that I use 3G watch dog ect. He said if I really wanted to push it, he could open a ticket and they could see SPECIFICALLY where the data went. I said YES, please do. He tried to back down a bit later. And I pushed on it "Please Do". He said he would.
So basically my question is,
Do they have this ability?
Do they track this data?
Is this a privacy issue?
