Help Samsung Galaxy S - Indian thread

we have waited soooooooo long for Froyo. I will suggest that wait for few more days. Its due now and then let Kalpik cook his rom from the latest official Froyo release. that ROM will be much better than current ROM of Kalpik.
this is what i am going to do....

1. Upgrade to official Froyo ROM from samsung
2. Root phone with cooked ROM having codebase of official Froyo ROM from samsung

Friends finallY after struggling for 2 months i got my galaxy s...well i m from vadodara ( gujarat) the phone arrived here much before but i just bought it...had really excellent experience except the battery part. I found that really poor. Could anyone tell me if their battery life improved after a few days?

well i got it for Rs. 27300 and happy to own it..

I have eagerly been waiting for froyo update. got knows when that is going to step in. Any idea if we will get Android 3.0 (gingerbread) update?

sorry for that, couldn't control. We're still waiting for froyo to come.... and waiting for android 3.0 is outta question! :(
 
Need help..

can i directly go for doc_kalpik's ROM with current DDjg4? .... Or do i need to get some european ROM like JPM or JPO for that from samfirmware and flash it first?

please help urgently, process is going on.... phone not working :(

How much battery life are you getting? The best you can get on regular use is a day. A little more if you are careful about your usage, but then why should you be? :-) Just charge it every day, you'll be fine.

for me, its around 2 days
usage, 3 hrs music, entire day logged in to Gtalk. Auto Sync oFF, brightness minimum , wifi , BT off.

NO ATK installed.

umm i when i use it continuously with Airtel 2g EDGE chatting on ebuddy and texting a few more apps sometimes it goes for like around 5-6 hours... idk if that is normal... but i almost charged my phone twice a day when i had gprs connection and in middle when i didnt have it, i wasmt chattin just a few text and normal use and i could finish 12 hours utilizing 40-50% of the battery .. i guess battery life has improved over time...
but now having problems connecting usb kies...

I am getting following error message when i try to sign into my google account on my new phone "Cant establish reliable data connection to the server". although i am able to surf using gprs but all other google related applications like gmail , calendar , gtalk not working as i am not able to set up google account bcoz of this stupid error message. I really dont want to hard reset the phone. please suggest any solution. any help will be highly appreciated!!!!!!!
 
Froyo might hit India in next 1 week. Just now came to know (via twitter samsung UK) that its released for UK.
Also a major update of KIES has been released just now...update your KIES.

I signed in to youtube via my google account (entire gmail address) and the problem was resolved. Hope it works for you too!

Thanks for your respone. But whenever i try to do this youtube log in i get same error "There was a network error while trying to sign in to your google account". Any other suggestions please :D
 
Guys Froyo rollout has already started. I am just hoping that we get the update soon.

By the way KIES was auto updated today to the latest version 1.53.10010.100

Hope to see Indian Froyo soon.
 
hey is someone living in mumbai who can tell me the price of sgs

i mean my budget is only 25000 i cant pay more for sgs

will the price of sgs come down till this December
