Help!!!!! I just tried to flash my EVO and bricked it! After this long friggin wait now this!

:(

Hate to hear that... what were you using?

Just wanted to thank everyone for keeping this thread going and all the updates as to availability. Got mine today and am content. Question though, did everyone get hardware version 004? Mine is 003 and was just curious. Thanks in advance.

I'm on 004.

I have version: 0004

Just got the notification for a system upgrade and just installed it.
Version: 3.30.651.3

I should probably put this in a new post, but I figured there is plenty of EVO owners on this page so.... I saw a youtube video with a guy showing of the EVO, he had an app to turn youtube videos into your live wallpaper, any idea how to do it?

Thanks

This sounds like a neat idea so I asked in an app thread to see if someone there knows the answer.

I am waiting too. Makes me think devs are enjoying thanksgiving or they don't have our version of software and aren't in a hurry to figure anything out.

What about the scenario where our software version never gets a root method, but once the Evo gets gingerbread, would that put all Evo owners back on the same page? Or would there still be slight differences in our software and we would still need a separate root method?

Good question...

I suspect that Gingerbread ROMs will leak out long before the official send-outs from the carriers. Thus, rooted folks may have yet another advantage, since they will (in theory, at least) have access to Gingerbread before unrooted folks do.
