Root [ROM] ApeX V1.0 for Droid X - An AOSP Experience (10/20/10)

One last bump.

Halp!

I haven't kept up with this thread too closely, but every time I look at this thread, it seems like you're asking or bumping about some new request (lately themes) of yours. No offense and my bad if I'm mistaken, but it seems like you're demanding more of the people (devs and other contributors) that already put a lot of hard work in. Especially without doing your due dilligence, like fab pointed out, how you could have tested it out.

I'm not quite sure. Fission may use a different framework.

Why don't you make a nandroid and try it, and report back the results?

I could, I was hoping that someone here (or you) would have known.

I've bumped it because its been ignored. I also don't want to hose my phone trying something that will not work. Which is why I posted or bumped my old posts to get some kind of confirmation or help that this will or will not work. I will do what Fab said, and report back.

EDIT: Just tried it. For anyone else that may have been interested, don't bother trying it. Upon boot just about everything was force closing. Im restoring a nandroid right now. Hopefully that will fix me back up.

Hey everyone -- I was running Apex 1.0 W/REVOlution theme. Loved it. But started playing Angry Birds again and realized that it would freeze about 5 min into play. So I backed up, and then restored a previous un-rom'ed theme and now it works fine. Could it be the overclocking in the rom that was doing that? If so, is there a way to turn off the overclocking in APEX? Thanks.

in term emulator type.....
overclock -off
there is a whole list off commands and instructions at the top of this thread

very true lol cant say i blame anyone with that many posts:p

That's the only reason I did not choose to install this ROM it looked great from the OP but I saw how many threads followed and abandoned ship. There is no way I'm reading 25 pages to be updated on this. Then I saw that fission was still at one page so that's where I went haha

i am currently on fission 2.1 myself and love it but apex is a great rom for me and i would highly reccomend it

excuse my naiveness but when i loaded this in my phone started back like it was a brand new phone ... was it supposed to do this?? after shitting my pants i just loaded my backup that i had done before i did this. what did i do wrong??

yes ... how can i install this without that happening?? i followed directions and it told me to wipe data and cache ... should i just not do that??

I wouldn't recommend it. You can always try but if you get a lot of FC's or bugs that will be the cause. A lot of ROMs require a data wipe prior to installation. Just one of those things i guess. It's a pain, I know.

No worries, I was just wondering, was a little uncalled for and confrontational though. It definitely is difficult to get questions answered on here with so many posts being made.

Could someone please tell me how to pull the Analog Clock Widget apk out of Apex so that I can install it on my wife's Droid Incredible?

Thanks guys!

Why did this happen? Double calendar and email

faster then ANYTHING

APEX - rating -100
Fission 2.1 7

should have tried messing with your overclock settings rather than bashing the rom. It's working great for most all of us.....definitely not the rom.
