Gingerbread coming for the Nexus One

yipee! we should have gingerbread, and maybe an ice cold belgian beer delivered to our n1s by the end of the week!!!
don't you mean Belgium chocolate? lol I think they are more known for their chocolate than beer :P

Sadly, chocolate is our best known product but we pride ourselves way more over our beer (and so called 'french fries') . We're the country with the most different beers in the world, brewing has been our cultural tradition for generations upon generations.
But all we hear is "Oh so you're belgian eh? You sure must like dem waffles and chocolate!"
And yeah, I do but to us belgian chocolate is just chocolate,.no big deal :p
But our beers, like the world famous Stella Artois and..oh I don't know what else is big outside of belgium (hehe), we take pride in knowing them and drinking them, our fine national beers. Although I'll admit they aren't all as great, some if them may taste a bit like shoes :D but to each his own kind of beer as we say.

But now when people come at me with waffles and chocolate, I can retort with gingerbread! Another fine and positive thing about belgium and not at all a smokescreen for our shameful political situation!

My bf's favourite beer is Stella Artois, didn't know it was from Belgium...thought it was a German beer, lol.

Well I'm a chocolate chick and I don't drink beer :P

Here all chicks drink beer AND like chocolate :D

haha, I like my liqour STRONG! Vodka, wisky, rum etc ;) One thing I like about Europe...you guys got a variety of good liquours, lol.

To get the convo back on topic: What's the bet that Gingerbread will be announced this year?

If they wait until 2011 they might as well not release it at all and go straight for honeycomb o_O
So I'm betting we'll see gingerbread this year.

Isn't Honeycomb specifically design for Tablets? I thought it was mentioned that two seperate teams are working on Gingerbread and Honeycomb simultaneously...

Yeah I heard that as well but I've seen no guarantee that honeycomb won't eventually make it to our handsets as well. Would make sense because they're still building on the same bricks. Although I have no idea what honeycomb will bring exactly...

Well there were rumors that some features that were suppose to be in the '3.0 Gingerbread' won't be in the '2.3 Gingerbread' but instead the '3.0 Honeycomb' lol. Since '3.0 Gingerbread' was suppose to bring in some kind of wonderous UI that will stop fragmentation and I don't think that the '2.3 Gingerbread' will have this...

They did release the Nexus One on Jan 5th 2010 ;) What's stopping them from doing the same this year?

you would think they would like to get it out at least a few weeks before xmas to give their sales numbers a shot in the arm.

with the numbers i have been seeing thrown around, i dont care when it comes out..
We know that's a big lie! :P You're the one that's most excited about the NS since it was rumoured ;)

oh c'mon, you know you want to touch and play with the shiny new toy asap. :D
Just don't sell your Nexus One right away...you might have buyer remorse with the NS ;) lol

no way am i selling the n1 right away. i've had a go around with samsung and i don't trust them at all. i'll consider a ns after it is released and been out long enough to find and fix all the issues.

there is a chance that samsung will get the ns right. i'm guessing google will not let them release their developer phone with near as many issues as the galaxy s line had/has. i, for one, am skeptical that samsung has the will to fully qc their cell phones before releasing them. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice...

that's gonna be too late then, as there'll already be a better/newer phone that you'll yearn for.

I'm a Nexus One user since January, and I'm not planning to change it for at least another year :)
