Desire HD SOLD OUT everywhere?

In Carphone Warehouse a nice agent told me that they receive their stock every Thursday, so to return there tomorrow, but they never know what phones they are sent, so she is not sure that they will receive any DHDs.

dude any chance you can contact them regarding this reply, mentioning the fact lots of stores, onlien retailers aren't getting stock at all and ask them why they are flat out lieing. If if it was just high demand then the retailers would still be getting stock and those of us (myself included) that pre-ordered stock before launch would have our devices by now.

It would be really interesting to see how they reply.
 
There's a thread on HTC UK's Facebook page where people started raising their complaints directly to HTC. The good thing about it is that its getting a log of exposure, as the page has over 8000 people subscribed to it. Would be good for you guys to also go there and your comments.
 
I cancelled my order with Amazon. Want to know why?! :) I have the phone here in my hands.

Went to Carphone Warehouse yesterday, they told me that they do not have it in stock but to try again today as they receive new stock every Thursday. Went to the shop today and they did have it! One should see my smile! :)

Not yet tested as I want to charge it for 3h before the first switching On, but a big smile on my face already. :)

The phone feels great.
 
I bought my Desire HD sim free, unbranded and unlocked on ebay. The seller hadn't even opened it. Felt so good breaking the HTC seal and being the first one to open it. PHONE IS AMAZING! Way better than the Touch HD, HD2 and the X10 i had Bargain for

Argggghhhh soooo frustrating...here's my story:

  • Ordered DHD on Nov 2 from gsmweb.nl
  • Kept getting the story that they weren't delivered as expected
  • Then got the story that some WERE delivered, but I was too far back in the queue, so I missed out on the shipment
  • Finally got the email confirmation with tracking info on Friday that mine was shipped (they also mentioned that everyone who ordered prior to Nov 5 would receive theirs, anyone who ordered after that time would have to wait for the next shipment)
  • NOW, instead of delivering on Saturday, like they should have, TNT Post has it sitting in some sorting center somewhere!! No explanation as to why...
  • So I GUESS (HOPE) it will get here Monday.

Jeezzz!! I really hope it is worth the wait (but I'm pretty sure it will be) :)
 
Wow, i really had to hunt one down yesterday.
Every single CPW and Phones4u sold out. The only one handset was availible in CPW 75 miles away, so drove to get it and CPW refused to sell me as handset only :mad:, had to sign for cheapest contract availible and pay
 
got mine from mobiles.co.uk ordered last tue at 11pm got it thurs morning 9am!

all good.

(new contract BTW)
