Vote now!! Mine is Killer Instinct. Played it in the arcades back in the day, on the SNES and on the N64. Definitely one of the games that needs to be revived and put on the XBLA. I'd get it in a HEARTBEAT!!!

Also... +1 for Super Smash Brothers! That fighting game has to be #1 because you can't have as much fun playing a fighting game with friends as that one. Have pokeballs on highest level with all other items off on the Star Fox stage? Awesome fun.

Dang It! I knew I was missing something. Both Melee and Brawl are some great games BTW. Kirby was my favorite fighter!!! I miss my gamecube now.

I've never played Soul Calibur but I've heard it being tossed around in the past. I'm not really a fighting game player (Give me a FPS or an RPG anyday!) so the ones I put in the poll are really the only games i've played, with the exception of Super Smash Bros.

I played quite a few fighting games over the years and my favourite would be Soul caliber/blade/edge ( or whatever they decided to call it next )

The Virtua fighter series was pretty good a few years back too.

The "best" is Street Fighter, although I'm not much of a fan.

My favorite is definitely Tekken.
