Yes, and this works with all of the "switching" scripts listed in the first post. Also, if you ever want to know how a script works, just type it without anything after and it will print out a little blurb about how to use it.

I wanted to share my experience with the voice search deal. I was having the same problem as most everyone else, when saying "text jennifer message hello" it would all end up in the message field and most of the time jumbled. Even trying "call jennifer" wouldn't work. So just for kicks I uninstalled the voice search that came with the rom in titanium backup, and then installed from the market. The version numbers were the same, but it now works as it should. Not sure why it works now, but glad to have it back.

Holiday Theme is fine, but it wipes out the wonderful transitions and such. I installed "fold", but it's not as good as what comes with Apex 1.0.2.2 . I was wondering if there was any way for me to install the ones from apex on top of the Holiday Theme. Is it a burning issue? No. Would I like it? Yes, as it's better. TIA.

Hey Steven, you can get my animations by replacing the /anim folder in your framework-res.apk with my /anim folder in ApeX or any of the themes.

Probably the easiest way to do this would be just do modify the holiday theme's update.zip file with my /anim folder and then just reflash it. A more advanced, but faster way, would be just to pull you framework-res.apk, modify it, and push it back onto your phone. If you need some help doing this, you can PM me :D

I basically tried this same thing last night and it fixed the google voice search for me. I was just checking to see if anyone else posted this and saw your post. I actually just renamed voicesearch.apk to voicesearch.bak and then downloaded google voice from the market to try it out and it is now working.

Edit: Just a little side note, you do not need to say "message" when sending a text to someone. You can just say "send text to mom...hi, I finally got the google voice thing figured out".
 
When I attempt to add a new calendar event from the Launcher Pro Calendar Widget I get a Force Close on Calendar Storage (process com.android.calendar). I did not have this issue on ApeX 1.0 - it just showed up on ApeX 1.2.1. Any ideas?

Edit: Can't add an event from the regular calendar application either, so it doesn't appear to be a Launcher Pro issue...

Edit 2: Just validated that this is NOT an ApeX issue. Went back and reinstalled ApeX v1.2.1 clean, and found that the calendar works correctly. :D
 
I was having the same problems as a few others, and the especially annoying reboot 5 times a day. Ive been running this as of tuesday and I must say I'm very pleased.

Its much quicker overall, the animations are smooth, and all the problems I had before seem to have been fixed. Thank you sooo much for this rom. I used to stand by cyanogen on my g1, but for droidx this is the best I've used!
 
Thanks Hairydawg and Airmaxx! Voice search is working great now. I did the same thing yesterday - looked at the version available in the market and saw that it matched up with the version in the rom and thought "nah, that can't be it" so I left it alone. lol Should have gone ahead and tried it. ;)
 
I've been getting quite a few reboots (3 so far today) but I've got the cause somewhat figured out. When I hold the phone in landscape view (with the hard buttons to the left) and then turn the phone back to portrait view the screen will not change and then it does a quick reboot. It doesn't happen all the time but if I try it enough times it will happen. Is there a way to disable landscape view for just that side? It does not reboot with the hard buttons on the right.

Are you on the 2.3.15 version? Can anyone else recreate this?

I literally just sat at my desk at work rotating the phone with my left had for like 3 minutes and couldn't get it to reboot, but I am on the leak.

Also, as for a rotation lock, there are plenty of apps that can toggle auto rotate, but I don't know of any that only kill it in one direction :(

I'm on the 2.3.320 leak. I've had it happen 5 times total and was able to get it to reboot twice today (once I figured out when it was rebooting) but I've been trying for a few minutes and can't get it to do it again. I've made sure that OCing is off for now just to be sure.

Hey Air, are you in a particular app when this happens? That's actually probably pretty significant, now that I think of it, heh.

You should be fine installing NexTheme over the top of 1.0.2.1.

The first 2 times it happened was when I was using the music playing but the other times I have just been on the homescreens.
 
I just updated Voice Search and installed NexTheme.

Great rom. A little laggy in some areas but I'll deal with it for the battery life. Is it normal on this specific build for me to get benchmarks in the 400's? I've tried it multiple times after multiple reboots and still same scores. I remember on someone else's rom (maybe rubix for 2.2.1) they stated that benchmarks would be pretty low as well.

im overclocked to 1.2 and averaging mid 1700's...... so 400 seems pretty low

Do you use auto-rotate at the homescreen much? I find it to be useless (and I hate, hate, hate screen redraw). It can be easily disabled in ADW settings.

No, that's not normal. I wonder though, are you using JRummy's overclock app? I remember setting a display off profile with it, and when I woke the phone up, it never sped back up, just stayed at 400mhz. Not sure if that's fixed yet, I just stuck with SetCPU.

400 does seem low, I get scores between 1775 and 1850 at 1.3 GHz.

I don't use the phone in landscape view much at all, it usually happens by accident. I just added an auto-rotate switch to my Switch Pro widget so it's all good. Thanks again Fab, oh, did you see we got the google voice thing sorted out?

Maybe that's it, b/c I just started using the profiles part of his app just recently. The rom was running good before that. I'll update with what I find.

Update: Yup, that must have been it. I guess I'll go back to SetCPU since never had a problem with that. Score of 1504 now.
