Root [ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

go to your app drawer and long press it then hold it right above the trash for a second and it will say drop to un install

Liked 1.0 but LOVE 1.2. Thanks a ton, Fab. I had one or two minor quirks with 1.0 that I more or less just decided to live with but 1.2 is rock solid.

Keep up the good work.

maybe go into applisations under settings and clear data ....your sure sync is on under accounts and data push is on also right

Yeah it's really weird, I have cleared data, sync is on, I refresh my inbox and it takes up to 15 mins for recent email to show up, and new emails that I am sending to the inbox as a test are not being pushed at all, after I hit refresh it's taking up to 20 mins.

is data push on?.....this also may be a problem with gmail in general as i have had this problem here and there when i was just running plain stock...try even a reboot or remove your google account entirely from accounts then add it back

Yeah push is on, I don't normally have it on, as I like to just manually refresh my inbox, but once i noticed it being really slow I put it on. I will try removing my account and adding it back, tried everything else. Well nvm on removing it, I need to factory reset for that, hope this issue hammers itself out

hope you get it fixed as well

It should be alright. It wasn't in ApeX 1.0 :)

Yep. Make sure you ran the script to apply it for a single session as well. You can check to see if the overclock took by running:

su
cpuinfo

and see if the max is now 1100.

by far the best support I have seen from a Dev... Come Friday, I'm gonna hook you up

I will give you an update on the -ulv profile at the end of the day today...yesterday I only burned 40% with moderate usage over 12 hrs...that included an hour of Angry birds Seasons :)

edit: I should note that yesterday was all stock...just overclocked this morning...

Going back to the overclock topic, what is the best profile for battery life?

its going to be different on every phone. but if you pick a ulv setting not above 1.15 your voltage settings should be below stock. and in theory should save battery life.

Will using autokiller set to optimum increase or decrease performance with this rom?

I don't know if those settings have already been tweaked, and if running autokiller will make it worse.

it's set to optimum by default, however, if you use a 3rd party overclocking app to set overclock at boot, that will be overwritten and require the actual app to set.

So from within the autokiller app, if I set it to "default" will it go to your default (i.e. optimum) or will it go to the factory default settings?

I can't reboot into recovery to install a theme. I tried koushes app and Rom Manager. It just boots normally, any suggestions?
