Root Question about FroYo

If we can barely run Eclaire and it is almost MANDOTORY to use SetCPU for the froyo aosp build how in the hell is LG going to give us froyo because it will barely be useable for regular users that dont root their phone...

Not sure what you mean by barely run Eclaire? My phone runs perfectly using a stock V8 ROM. It is rooted, but no custom kernels or overclocks installed. I have also messed with each version of the Froyo build that has been made available without using SetCPU and it ran great as well. If it wasn't for a few of the missing parts that I need for work, I could use it for everyday use as is if I wanted too.

I never run my phone overclocked and have been using froyo for almost a week now with no issues or lack in speed. You just have your expectations too high, you buy a budget phone, you get a budget phone.

I even set my CPU to 348 and it's quadrant scores were higher than the Moto Droid (1), quite abit better than stock Ally. At 600 it beats a Nexus one. What is it you are wanting the phone to do that it's not?

Lol no it lags without over clocking........ over clock and its fine....

I havnt lagged since installing a custom rom, and froyo is a custom kernel, hes made everything himself nearly, the real froyo rom will run MUCH better - drell is damn good, but hes not a team of a thousand with unlimited resources, and he has very very little help and support - aosp froyo for ally runs damn well considering the man power behind it. once ota 2.2 comes im sure drell will make that a beast to brawl with!

I never have to overclock either, in fact i see little performance boost, sure your doing it right?
