red triangle of death

ok so I've rooted with z4 ( or it least it says I'm rooted, have superuser installed

When I try to boot the phone into recovery It shows the recovery shell shows options I hit home key and then it goes to the Bermuda triangle which requires a battery pull to restart.

I have unrooted and rooted multiple times and this is as far as I have gotten

So I humbly ask all of you geniuses for a little insight if possible

I'm running build 2.32.651.2

Turn your phone off, press and hold down the volume down button, and then press the power button. Once you get to the white screen, press home. You should now be at the clockworkmod homescreen. Clear cache, davlik, etc. Reboot your phone and see if that fixes it.
 
sounds like you didn't install ROM manager.. try to d/l that from the market. Once it's installed you need to flash clockworkmod recovery... see if that helps :)
 
I just wanted to say thank you for the help in getting past my triangle problem
It is the little simple things that can be so frustrating like not knowing exactly the sequence,
I was laboring under the misrepresentation that I had to root, then boot into recovery as step 2, to create recovery, not knowing that i needed ROM mgr and clockworkmod first

I d/l ROM mgr , clockworkmod, wiped and nandroided and installed LiquidSense and have been playing around with it all day. Now that I've been through the process, I can't wait to load some diff Roms and compare and am now looking forward to more exploration

i have rom manager installed, rooted using unrevoked3.. things were going fine and i tried to install a new rom, got complicated, did the pc36img deal and now my phone cant get past the red triangle. dont have a recovery image but i know i saved one... need help, bad.
 
Same thing happened to a friend of mine the first time he rooted his handset. He did not flash a recovery image and voila, red triangle of death.

Thankfully, this problem is just a recovery flash away. Good call on that one.
 
oh yeah...duh -
Just boot normal - install Rom Manager and flash CW

Aparently I make things harder then they are....
