The new marketplace

Looks good to me although changing the refund limit is a bit odd, 15 minutes doesn't seem like a whole lot of time to see if you want to keep the app.
 
Still not got a new Market.

Am I missing something or have people just been using the .apk that was available?
 
I'm guessing people are doing same that I did and using the .apk

Don't think its been rolled out to everyone yet.
 
i cant download the .apk the links been disabled due to large amount of traffic.... anyone else got it ? upload to mediafire or something?

this was mentioned on Cnet and they said while it will no doubt upset a few people...its still ahead of Apple who don't have ANY refund policy in place.
 
15 minutes ? How are you meant to assess an app in that time ? They could at least make it 1 hour....although I don't see why they couldn't just stick to 24hrs.
 
Would the new market get delivered as a system update?, i would have thought it would have been a normal (silent) update through the market app it's self.
 
I have just received the new update and it looks good. I do think it looks very nice indeed. Seemed to just come across when i updated my apps earlier, so maybe was a system update but i didn't get any messages... it just appeared.

One problem i still think the market has, is going through all the crap to find quality products. They need to either place another tab which the out of rating star system takes into account how many reviews have been posted and then by position list the products. There are still some of the best products buried with the total crap that people make. Games especially.
 
The new market looks TOTALLY different from the old one - you will know if you have the update. I got mine last night automatically. I opened the Market to check for my app updates and when I returned to the main Market screen 5 mins later it was the new version. Google suggest opening the Market, press the Home button and do other stuff while Market is still running in the background for 10 mins and it should update on its own.
 
I actually preferred the old look, it ran smoother, it could be im running it on a normal HSDPA signal not wifi like alot of people would...but it just seems a lil laggy now its more pretty....but otherwise it is the bloody same!! just LOOKS nice....

wheres the actual changes promised to us?
 
Really don't like that HUGE green blob at the top taking up half the screen, but aside from that it's a slight improvement I guess.

Also if this 15 minutes rumour is true, that's shocking. Give us at least 2 hours.

dont flash system updates on rooted devices even if its a custom rom it can sometimes still receive notifications (if its sense based)
this will break your device
