Help Will the unlocked HTC Desire HD work in India?

Nexus S price reduced and looks like they are gona ship it immediately in India...

I could not able to find ebay India number to know the expected delivery date of this item..can anyone give me pls..
 
android 2.3 should be udated to desire hd and desire z I believe

after having galaxy s , I am kinda stay away from samsung , didnt like it apart from its gr8 internal hardware

i m planning to buy nexus s instead of DHD. can u tell me the problems u encountered with your galaxy s. I saw some video tutorials of nexus s on youtube. seems to be a decent device. Most importantly gr8 looks( much better than DHD).
Can anybody guide me on dis.....:confused:
 
galaxy s had a plastic body to start with, although plastic is gr8 but it does not look expensive device

then comes the horrible software, the lag, the fact that updating android version can only happen through samsung's crap kies desktop software rather than OTA update like HTC

if these are not a problems with nexus s, I would recomend it, but again I am sure HTC gonna release android 2.3 to DHD soon and its sense UI is far better than android plain UI

well again its everyone own choice...if you like the videos etc then go for it.. its the user experience which matters a lot rather than any piece of hardware
 
Bye Bye DHD...completed turned off by HTC attitude. I am not gonna buy this fone even if it launches tomorrow with 26k price tag.:mad:

LG Optimus 2X looks like generation ahead fone to DHD and shud b availble in jan 2011.:cool:
 
Well guys,

Kinda a bad news for now.

I got back to the distributor in Bangalore (This info is pertaining to Bangalore only so far), he is dead sure that they will release in Jan 2011 coz HTC is dropping the price in 2011 and retailers don't wanna lose.

Well I kinda lost interest in DHD coz of the wait and secondly dual core is coming up.

Hope HTC comes with dual core soon.
Oh wait they won't release in India soon....Thats right!!!
Well got to make do with some other phone now.

Damn you HTC......Sorry my fellow DHD-ian's .

Guys, if you don't like LG and rather wait for HTC/ Samsung's next flagship Dual Core phone get the DHD from Expansys. I got in 4 days and it cost me 31k (30.2 + 0.8 customs). And all the goodies are in there too. :)

only 800Rs cusoms duty???

I think couple of other guys had to pay 2000+. Wht are the rules on customs duty? anybody got ny idea? :confused:
 
For all those who are interested in DHD. on Expansys price has gone down to 387GBP with shipping. They are offering 5% further discount thats why the price has gone down

Even I don't know how it was so low. I just got it today morning and my father told me that they charged that amount. Can't wait to go home and check. But the item list was correct.
 
Hey everyone

I've been following this thread for so long, because its been so long since I've been waiting for the DHD to come out in India....

I'm pretty disappointed (and im sure everyone else is) with how HTC India launches phones in India, wonder if they even have a marketing team for India...

Anyways there is frankly no more reason i guess for getting the DHD now (if HTC India ever decides to launch it) cause basically the dual core phones will be out shortly and they offer significant improvements over current leading edge phones out there...

I mean if LG can design a phone with basically seems to show benchmarking results which destroy the other phones then I am really excited on what HTC can come up with with their version of the dual core. No offense to people who use and like their LG handsets. ( I think LG phones are not up to the mark personally)

So i waited so long for DHD and i guess its a good thing they put off the launch cause that means I can now get the dual core version without any regrets...

It seems that the new dual core HTC phone is called Glacier but who knows...
but rest assured now that LG and Samsungs phone have been "leaked", we should see something solid from HTC soon

Now the only pain is when the heck would HTC india launch the dual core.....
I think ill just buy it off expansys when it comes out....

So guys... maybe the wait was a blessing in disguise after all..

Or so i hope
