What does it show?
You might have to re-root.As the first one may have had a problem.

No, because you will be flashing the phone to update anyway. If you got the app from the Market you should have the option to unroot.

why Do i Need Busybox??
As X10iUser said it is a very important key to a lot of programs.

As for what it does i beleive it give you and any program that may require it to work Superuser Control which allows you to access everything on your phone.

May not be correct im no expert but maybe someone who's been around this more can confirm if im right or not.

Either way make sure you install it.

thx :D

Thx too hellsrage619

I'll Downloaded later ^^
NP Also if you download Titanium backup to delete stock apps and other things it might ask you to install a more stable version of Busybox i dont know if you have to but i just did to be on the safe side.

I used root manager to deleted the useless apps, it's much easier

After it tries to do exploit to root phone, my phone always restarts when it tries to apply shell. I have used z4 before and it worked perfectly fine on 2.1. However since I enabled JIT and installed a new theme, z4 and oneclickroot do not work for me. My phone has even apparently changed from x10a to x10i, and I didnt do that at all.

could u pls tell me the pros and cons of rooting x10i (2.1)and steps and installation files for doing it .

and how to change the blue theme ?

I downloaded and installed z4root 1.3.0, and it seems to work fine - gives me a few helpful messages and then dumps me back to the home screen. However, when I then attempt to install busybox, it tells me the machine is not rooted. I have an X10i, running firmware "2.1-update1", Baseband version 2.0.49, and Build number 2.0.2.A.0.24.

Any helpful suggestions on rooting this machine?

Thanks very much!

Z4root doesn't work on .24. Have a look thru the other threads there is one that covers the most recent upgrade. On my phone app so can't link for you.
