I got a good quality HTC HD2 sscratch guard for free, and it fits preety well, once we have the official DHD scratch guard I will buy that...and for pouch I had a slip in pouch of SGS, I am using it for now, its fitting quite well.
I am planning to order the accesories along with desk stand car charger from expansys, but I wonder how many days they will take to deliver those bcoz its too bad a weather there in UK, or do they send parcels to India from HK? any idea guys ?

android ver is 2.2 now, seems in india the 2.2.1 update it still not available but hould come soon, still in htc website DHD is not shown so maybe they are not setup for updates and all

yea i guess dat would be only for India.. cos mine is from the UK and the version is 2.2.1
also got d 1.72.405.3 update last week....
jus wish dat d handsets n d updates start releasing in India sooner than dey are now..
do the other users who got the fone from around here have the same 2.2 version????
Yepp... still got ver 2.2. Tried to check for a software update but it says on software update available yet. So hoping that these new updates get released soon for India market as well.
Edit: Hey for the guys who have recently picked up the DHD, howz the battery life coming up?

tbh i really dnt remember the previous version 2.2 or 2.2.1... it jus kinda slips my mind now...
but currently it is 2.2.1 and the software version is 1.72.405.3..

thats fine what was before but I wanted to confirm from you that you got a software update prompt here while using it in india and then u updated it to 2.2.1 version...I am asking bcoz this means the software updates are dependant on where the phone belongs to and not where it is used....
well if this is the case then I would say buy from UK only, very lill price difference and will be updated faster than indian phones....only issue is with warranty, but again if its not a manufacturing defect, normally these phones dont break within 1 year....
and for navigation software, we are also downloading india map in indian versin of DHD, and have to buy premium navigation its just like UK purchased phones, I dont mind downloading offline map of india again...but indian premium navigation should be given free for indian DHD
else there is no difference and no value in waiting so long to buy a phone officially in india
anyways the android market shows all apps paid ones as well and in INR..so no difference again here
dude ur DHD+free goodies are all worth even after DHD is available for a low price in india

I got my DHD on Saturday I am Airtel user Since GPRS plan is costly on Airtel, I got Docomo SIM but for my surprise Docomo SIM dint work on my DHD so I thought it could be a problem with my SIM so I tried my friends SIM (Docomao) and even that dint work on my DHD All other SIM (BSNL, IDEA, Airtel and Vodaphone) worked fine. I am from Bangalore did any one else had the same problem?

well whatever d case.. i don't really r'ber wat it was before.. really sorry can't help you out there...
but i can assure u that i had d update and it installed successfully too... no problems at all.. as others have already stated..the camera is a bit smoother now and the speaker is a bit louder too..
PS: even i'm surprised you guys dnt have the free navigation.. dats just weird on HTC's part

Navigation - Ok then, I will enjoy one month free navigation and as some other folks have suggested before, I would try the free "brut mod google maps".

guys after 2 days of usage, I must say the external speaker sound is quite good for music and ringtone, I have no complaints so far
only thing I miss is the super amoled screen of my SGS, I must admit , SGS screen is still the best so far, wish DHD had the same screen, but amoled screen would have costed 5-6K more...I had noticed the viewing angel is not good in DHD, if you look straight in, then its fine but if you tilt and view it then its not so good, fades out a little
strangely my friend has a Desire Z and his screen is quite good compared to DHD as my my experience
overall guys, I dont care about dual core etc, the speed is awesome with next gen qualcomm 1 GHZ processor, and we are anyways not gonna do so extensive tasks lke editing full videos or use it as a full photo editing etc...for rest all its gonna handle everything preety smooth I am sure, I am happy to have upgraded from SGS to DHD

From where in Mumbai did you get it.

AFAIK none of the HTC devices which has 4.3" screen has SLCD or AMOLED...

whts the source of ur info ? bcoz as far as I know new HTC devices the DHD and DZ has SLCD, its just that their manufacturing companies are different, sony and sanyo I remember hence there is some difference
