Help Battery 0-59% in 10 mins?

Hey everyone, I was hoping someone could give me a bit of insight here...

I was at the Browns game in Cleveland today (I know I know, wasted trip lol) but, I was playing with the 4G on my EVO and it KILLED the battery like NOW. I realize that creates a ton of battery consumption so that wasn't my issue. Being totally dead when I leave, I get home and put it on the charger. After 10 mins I get a text and I look at the battery gauge and it shows 59%! I know that's not an exact measurement but it certainly seemed pretty high for a margin of error.

Does this seem right or is there some kind of "reserve" capacity on the battery?

That game was so pathetic CBS dropped coverage of it in the 2nd quarter and went to the Chiefs-Raiders game! :D

I've read a few posts before and noticed it myself. When you're in a crowded place like a sporting event with that many people and that many phones all battling for signal the battery dies QUICK!

I've noticed mine sometimes will shoot up to about 50% really quickly then level off and charge at like 1% a minute or so after that. It's not all the time, just now and then. No idea why though...

< same issue when in EXTREMELY crowded areas, sporting events (even sprint sponsored events lol)
state fair, out shopping on black friday with thousands of people in the store.
