Root Is my phone bricked?

I got the gummy jar rom on it and loved it. Then when i went to add swype addon it went fine but a few hours later it shut off and will not turn back on. I tried to boot recovery but it will not even do that. I read the articles about unbricking phone but i cant even get to recovery. Is there anything i am missing. I will donate to who ever can get my phone back. I know you guys are alot smarter than me so i am hoping that there is something that i overlooked. Please help. Thanks guys
 
it doesnt sound like you're bricked. but, it does sound like you're having some problems.

first, pull the battery out (if you havent tried this already). now, what happens when you try to power it on? if you get nothing on the screen, look at the LED. when you press the power button, do you get a faint blue flash?
 
yes blue flash for sure. if it is plugged in to the wall then i can get the motorola m screen. by the way thanks for the quick response. my hair is turning grey over this.
 
So what's the progress today buddy? Do you have any way to charge the battery externally? It sounds like a charging problem more than anything to me. The fact that it was working fine and then shut off later sorta indicates that it ran out of juice, and then decided not to accept a charge for whatever reason? I know that without the battery in my phone, and/or if my battery is completely dead, the phone will not turn on even while plugged into a computer or wall outlet. So to me it's sounding like it's just dead and isn't charging. So the first order of business is to get a charged battery in it (maybe take it down to your local Verizon store and see if they have one you can use to test it out) and see if it will turn on after that.

If not, then I'd say start with the sbf routine.

do you happen to have another phone that takes a micro charger? if so, plug that one in and see if it is taking a charge.
i dont think your phone is bricked. sounds to me like you dont have any juice. i would go to a vzw store, and ask them to swap out the battery.

btw, sorry i didnt get back to you last night. i fell asleep right after i posted.

And I"m not saying that because I"m a homophobe... I just don't want the guys in the sewing club I'm a member of to get the wrong impression of me.

Yea you guys are right. My battery was low. I took it to verizon they charged it. every. Now i can boot into recovery but i still cant access my backups. I guess i still have to sbf. any idea how to get into clockworks recovery from powerup. all i can find is android and asterisk one
 
try to reboot, I got lucky quite a few times when on third or fourth reboot phone went to cwm recovery, not the stock one
 
i have tried this a bunch of times just gets stuck on m screen. I guess i will sbf. i have been downloading the file forever. I live in the country and all i have is sattilite internet. sucks but in a few hours hopefully i will have phone back and can use my 3g hotspot.
 
i already downloaded the file once but i cant find it at all. Does anyone know where the file might be? I searched for it and still cant find it.
 
failed flashing process. phone is not compatible with multi-interface super-file. (Ox703B) now i get that message in rsd. ahh i wish i knew what it was
 
this is how i always get into clockwork:

pull the battery, then replace. with the phone off, plug the phone into the charger. once you see the battery charging icon on the screen, touch the power button to make it disappear. then, hold the power button to power on. if clockwork is intact, it will boot into clockwork.

nice little trick, eh?
 
Yea i am running win 7 64. But i got it all figured out. You guys are the best. Without you guys my phone would be screwed up and my wife wouldnt be too happy about me getting an ak47 because i would also have to buy a new phone. well im back and im gonna head to the gun shop tomorrow and pick up a new toy. Thanks guys your a lifesaver. Its just too bad it took me so long now i cant activate. I paniced on sunday when it broke and called verizon to get a replacement sent out. I was just gonna pay for the fact i broke the warrenty. Now i send back. whoo score one for androidforum. vzw support sucks
