Going to Unroot

Here's what I've got. My first hero was a dud. I was back and forth to the sprint store like 8 times in 2 weeks. Problem was no incomming or outgoing calls from the house. I had 4 bars in roaming, data and messages came through fine. Sprint couldn't fix it, they replaced the phone. Problem went away with new phone. 2 days ago problem came back, now I need to take this thing into a corporate store and get it checked out.:mad:

I unrooted with z4root, but I can still boot into clockwork recovery. How do I get this back to factory, because those guys at the corporate store know all about rooted phones. If they see clockwork I'm sunk.:confused:
 
you need to be routed to run recovery, so you needed to remove Clockwork B4 you unrooted
 
OK, how do I remove clockwork. I can unroot no prob. it's getting the stock recovery image on thats the rub. I tried the 2.1, .6 ruu from another thread and it didn't work.

Seems that I have the most trouble when I'm running AOSP. Liquid Sense has been receiving calls no problem.

What the he!! is going on!
 
You can uninstall Clockwork but wait....

If you want to get a stock image you have previously backed up YOU NEED TO ROOT THE PHONE again. You cannot boot to recovery on a non Rooted phone

If you did not make your own backup (tisk, tisk) run the .5 RUU of the HTC website

Simple, flash back the RUU ( Ron Update Utility)and you are good to go, if you are simply having the phone repaired and plan on getting it back, make sure you make a Nandroid before you take it back, this way if you replace your phone you can use that Nandroid on your next Hero or you existing one

I also need to unroot my phone but it is no longer on the network(I upgraded to the Optimus S. Does my phone need network access during this unrooting process? I was just going to run the RUU.
 
Hmmm, my call troubles are only in the AOSP mod. Stock nand, and liquid sense have no problems sending or receiving calls in roaming.

Does the radio update cross nandroids and such like a prl update?

I still need to know how to fully unroot this piece.
 
Told you, easy flash the RUU back on
