gaming on huawei ascend

hi guys before anything let me go off telling you my ascend is rooted, i have deleted all the bloatware and use setcp to performance running always at 600 and still it lags when i play simple games like zenonia i dont even want to play all does 3d games out there bot ascend laggs with a simple game like zenonia if somebody has a solution for gaming with ascend plz tell me

There is no solution sorry. The reason the Ascend lags is because it lacks a dedicated graphics unit. This is why it was cheaper than the Zio, even though Cricket recently lowered its price.
 
I try to avoid the 3D games as well. So far, I'm lovin Robo Defense (it's kind of like Desktop Defender). Not only is it addictive, but it runs great on the Ascend! I also downloaded Pandas vs. Ninjas which isn't too bad on the Ascend either - it's a great alternative to Angry Birds. If anyone has any other suggestions for good games that run on the Ascend, please post them :-)

lol, sorry but it seems to be true=/ only apps that will run are the jewels puzzle type games. and even those are suspect at times!

Have you tried Squibble? It is better than Angry Birds. How about Hungry Shark 1 and 2?

no I havent. I just made a general assumption of all apps lol.

i have tried angry birds, paper toss, talking santa, pandora, last fm, Jewels, bubble blaster 2 and x construct.

my wife has tried restaurant story, angry birds seasons, talking tom cat

the only of these games to work were jewels and bubble blaster. everything else is laggy and constantly force closes.

only other apps i have gotten to work are astrid and a weather app(live)
 
well i dont usually game much but i have found myself addicted to robo defense and i think it runs flawlessly on the ascend. i also have angry birds due to my newphew and it runs fine except its a lot slower than on his itouch. i have also dl, bonsai blast, word up, word drop, minsweeper and havent had a force close problem yet. i did try the super mario one and it jsut didnt work too good cuz of multi touch but as far as running it ran fine it was just hard to get my guy to do anything.

I'm hoping the IDEOS X6 arrives soon so I can use the $5 a month warranty I have on this phone to turn it back in and get the IDEOS.

Even upgraded to Froyo the Ascend lacks things that are important to me.

Like a camera with auto focus and a flash and flashplayer.

I can't wait for the IDEOS to arrive!

Also...in re: the games - there is nothing worse than trying to play games on a phone that isn't powerful enough. It's like playing the piano on an antique spindle that hasn't been tuned in 20 years.

However, that being said, for the money the Ascend is great and I really like it as a starter Android phone.

I play Mafia Wars and I would LOVE to have an Alienware for gaming but I can't afford the one I want so I am constantly doing maintenance on my laptop for better and improved performance.

It's just the same with the phones....

Ascend might get flash player Jazziette. P.S. , you can use your warranty towards the purchase of a new phone? I didn't know. Can you explain. You learn things from me, I learn things from you. Nice!

LOL Joser! There are some things I would prefer not to 'splain' publicly!!! I pay $5 each month for insurance on my phone in case it breaks or I lose it. But I doubt I would really use that to replace the phone with a new one as it would be dishonest.

I'll just sell it on Craig's list instead. I've been watching the Ascends on ebay and used they are going for around $150 and more. I don't understand why someone wants to buy them on ebay rather than from mycricket.com online but it does tell me that the phone is holding its value.

So...what you just learned from me is that I am NOT going to be dishonest and say I lost my phone to get a new one. :p
 
But you said you were gonna do that. You got me confused. You said you're gonna use the warranty to get an ideos x5, and I really didn't know you could do that. I wasn't saying to explain how you are able to do that, I said explain how I could do that. It was nothing personal :)

hahahaha You are too cute! I'm not really gonna do it! I was only teasing! However, when your phone won't upgrade cuz of all the rooting we've done you might want to use your warranty to get a new one! :p

So is it possible to use your Ascend warranty to get the Ideos?
 
As creative as you are I'm sure you would have no problem figuring that out! But I don't want to encourage you to do anything that may lead to a life long habit of........well you know! :D
 
I'm completely addicted to Restaurant Story!!! It does lag a lot on the Ascend but I play it anyway because its so fun and addicting! I just can't put it down! However it will drain your battery because it is an online game.
 
Angry Frogs Beta, found it a day or so ago. Yes, it's another AB clone, but still not too bad a game, some interesting elements, including a level editor.
 
Yeah tried all the new games nothing works angry birds the classic x-men but uno works call of duty black ops work call of duty modern warfare works avatar 2009 version works

Did you try Restaurant Story? Its laggy but its still really fun.
