Root How to upgrade Huawei Ascend from 2.1 to 2.2???

What makes me think it could be any day is that the Zio is supposed to upgrade to 2.2 this month for sure. If I were Huawei I wouldn't want Kyocera to get ahead of me.

Make any sense?

Huawei is stepping up to the plate with handsets now. And it appears they are going to be aggressive about it!

You need to download it to save it to your SD card. THATS WHY ITS CALLED SD CARD Update. The update doesnt appear magically on your SD card.

Well!!! I thought it might have downloaded itself. I mean...it could, couldn't it? There sure are a lot of other things on my SD card that seem to have magically appeared! Not kidding either!!! LOL

In fact...when I had it opened up on my PC the other night I was amazed. There are two PDF files in there too and I only looked at one of them. I wonder if the upgrade it in it!!!

Oh wait...it's gonna be announced formally!!! I forgot!!!! :D :D :D
 
we know you have to daownload it to the SD card then upload it to the phone. was just saying that with the metro ascend you couldn't even access that area yet so they did do something to the phone. and i just talked to a friend of mine at metro corp store and she said that they are having a meeting on the ascend and forte on the 25th but not sure what its about

Yes correct . The reason why you find some files on your SD card is because when you download programs or apps, they store or create files in your SD card. P.S. I didnt mean my previous posts in a bad way . Im just providing factual info. Please don't take anything I say in a bad way:D

Oh yeah! I keep forgetting this thing is basically a Mac! :p I would be afraid to perform this upgrade through the phones browser. What if you lost your connection during the download. Not a good thing.

PS...I always take everything you say in a fun way! You don't have to worry...you can be yourself! (Now that I got to know more what 'yourself' is all about! LOL) :D

I showed some guy at work my phone today cus he has the Huawei M750, and hates it, so he assumed the M860 was junk. He's seen them before but all stock, so I told him last week, I'll catch him sometime at work and have it on me, so today I showed him, and thought it was a different phone than the one he saw :P haha... I told him I hacked it.. cus I can't say root, cus most people don't even know about that kind of stuff, so i said hack...told him I removed all bunch if pre-installed junk, changed the UI, added a new keyboard, showed him how I changed the SMS and stuff, and now he likes it :P
