Help What's in the recent update from Verizon??

First, thanks to all of you who answered my question about the new and totally irritating icon in the announcement bar. That little cross hair thing :mad: is cluttering up my screen so if any of you find a way to get rid of the little bugger, please let me know!

The cross hair thing showed up Sunday night when my phone automatically powered down so Verizon could do their update. Well, I'd like to know just what that update did....besides add a dumb icon to my screen. Will it change functionality or speed or apps or what? :confused:

If anyone can help me out with this question, I'd really appreciate it.
 
Its the e911 icon, it will be on there till you flash a theme or rom that hids it
