UK OTA Update RC8 to RC??

It's been a few months now and from this side of the pond it seems that the US market has had at least two update's since RC8 was release in the UK.

Now my question is should we expect to ever see an OTA update in the UK, or should we now wait until a new shiny G2HD appears in T-Mobile stores in the UK and shame T-Mobile into replacing our burnt out G1 free of charge.

Anybody got any ideas?

According to T-Mobile in mid-Jan, any updates to phone software usually come up to 3 months AFTER the US. :0(

Not part of the project so not totally appraised of the situation. Can't say much as the dept i work in has a lot of trust from the rest of the business and don't want to jeapodise either that or my job. But don't take any long holidays.

But hey i'm a G1 user and I have to wait too!

Voice dial was pre-RC33. Us British users were considered unworthy of voice dial.

it might be the accent and UK's perfect English, that has the G1 stumped ... but dont feel bad the American English implementation isn't all that great either .... so no need to be jealous

I'm not here to speak for T-Mobile (I can't speak for T-Mobile). So this is in no way official information.

If you contact customer service they won't know about it yet, so don't bother (that's because they don't need to know yet).

The update is going to be phased, should have started last night but it's been delayed. The phrase used when I asked was "any time soon". There, that's all I know at the moment.
