Look, I don't mean to argue with you, but have you seen the vast majority of FEEDBACK attached downratings? YOU specifically might give all the information the dev needs. The average person certainly does not. This is all I mean to point out here. I don't mean to step on any toes, but I still stand by the fact that no dev is going to view a down thumb and a "Doesn't work - XXX device" as valuable feedback, especially when, frequently, others have it working on that very same device. [
Case in point, one guy says he can't get it to work on his evo, another says he does, but simply thinKs the controls are too small. THIS is what I mean. If it works for one guy and not the other, what on earth is EA supposed to do with JUST that information? -- FWIW, this is coming from a quick search I just did on the officil market app, and ALL apps are filled with these kinds of reviews.]
Please also don't disregard the fact that many games/apps have a device list that people just tend to overlook. Again, I am talking about the average review that one tends to see on any given day browsing any given app. If you don't fit that category, then you are not the average person.
Furthermore, an email does not need to be replied to by the dev to signify it is noticed. Not sure what you want as a reply. Just about the best a large company is going to do is send you a generic response stating "Thanks for your feedback" - which sounds like what you had gotten. Also, I am not understanding how you think your emails would not be read but somehow ratings/feedback would be. If one is not read at all, mostly likely the other wouldn't be either. Far more quality feedback can be produced through an email than a ratings board. JMO of course
