Help how to save pictures?

erick123

Newbie
hi everyone.

I can't seem to be able to save pictures.(from a website.)

the phone says download complete but, I can't find my picture in my gallery.

also is there anyway I can fit a full image as my background?(not having to crop it down.)

When you are in gallery if you dont see an option called "All downloads" hit menu>settings>default albums then put a checkmark in all downloads. If you dont see "all downloads" in your gallery and you go into settings and its already check marked then you gotta wait for the smart people to get on.

Darn, it is already checked.

Does anyone have another ideas?

Another option would be to download astro file manager or ES file explorer from the market. Then go into your card and find your download folder, /sdcard/download. Is it there?

Hi, yes it is there, but it will only let me open the images, it will not let me photo shop them, or use them as a background. (using that app)

Any other ideas?

I worked when I first got the phone, maybe I should reset the darn thing?

What method are you using to save the image from the source?

I hold my finger on the image for a few sec until it asks me what I want to do then I hit save image, then it says downloading, then download complete then I got to my gallery and nothing is there.

That's the right way to do it. I don't have any other ideas. Sorry, hope you get it figured out.

In the file manager app make a new folder in the root of your card and name it whatever you want. Then transfer the pictures to that folder. Then when you go to the gallery you can open that folder with the pictures.

Thanks for the idea.

But I don't want to have to deal with the extra step.

So I am going to restore my phone.

All your downloaded pictures are going to go into the "download" folder. the only way to view them in the gallery if you have the donwloads option checked in the settings and it's not showing is to move them to a new folder in the root of the card. You can do this in the file manager or with your phone connected to your pc. Keep in mind if you create a new folder in the root of the card it wont show in the gallery unless you have at least 1 picture in it.

Is there a .nomedia file in your download folder?

Don't know why there would be one but its the only thing left I can think of. If so delete it.
