Root [ROM] Azrael X v4.0 1/30/2011 Is Out!

Thanks...does anyone know if a full wipe is required for 4.0 if you are already running Azrael 3.1? I know it's recommended just to be safe, but I've finally got everything just the way I want it :)
 
All he says in the thread is that it's highly recommended that you wipe data. Sometimes you can get away with it; sometimes you can't. If you don't, it can just make it hard to troubleshoot any issues your may run into, and most everyone will recommend you start over with a full data wipe before trying to fix anything.
 
I will take a nandroid backup of my current 3.1 phone, and then try flashing to 4.0 without a full wipe...will report back and let you know what I find. I've done this before when upgrading Fresh and not had issues.
 
I love it how people came into this thread just to say something else is better.

I like flour tortillas more than corn, just wanted to add that.
 
Therefore I did not just come into this thread. I demo as many ROMs as I possibly can. Sometimes even several ROM's in one day. I am just sharing my opinion based off of all the ROMs that I have tried. This ROM is solid but not the best. Bottom line give Mikfroyo a try and I believe you will feel the same. BTW... flour tortillas ROCK! Way better than corn. :D

RS- with all your experience in demo-ing several roms, please share what you liked about Azreal 4.0 and why Mikfroyo is superior in your opinion...TIA ;)
 
I've tried Mikfroyo, Myn's, Fresh and Azrael. Azrael is the only one out of the four that doesn't give me a bunch of forced closes or eat my battery up.
 
hey guys is hotspot working on this rom i tried it and hotspot was giving me wrong user name and password error so went back to 3.1 is it working for u guys on this rom ?
 
Hey so I just downloaded 4.0 and the theme.

Have to say I dont like the battery percentage bar...is there any out there that dont look as corny? I just to meet the font in it looks cheap, same with the one when you pull down the notification bar.

Also what does it mean that the kernal is disabled?
 
Also is there a way to turn off the lame sense slider bar when you turn on the phone? My preference would be to have just the pattern security or at least a cooler looking slide to unlock.

personally i like both roms they both have their differences. theyre both fast sense roms.

aamikam (mikfroyo) creates his own base rom which many other rom /modders or themers base theyre roms off, including ricsim previous (azrael 2.3,2.4) roms.

ricsim takes what he does to another level and optimizes and lightens it up even more.
