it is back in post number 42.

I did get mms to send....

however, no dsp manager?

other than that it seems to be working good.

Ran some benchmarks comparing UD3 and CM7 n21, both using the same kernel.

CM7 n21, chevy 1.1ghz
Browsermark: 38653
Sunspider: 4794 +/- 1.9%

UD3 RC2, chevy 1.1ghz
Browsermark: 38640
Sunspider: 4939 +/- 1.7%

Basically, both ROMs perform the same in the browser. I'm using CM7 for now, because less is broken.

Just got the 2/01 update notification. Is it just me or do these things take forever to download, whether using a computer or ROM Manager? I think I'm looking at 30-40 minutes for these.

Yea, they're slow. But they go a lot faster if you don't stare at your phone the whole time. ;)

I use my phone to download and wifi and only take like 5 min to download.

I work for the local school district and today we had a snowday ... so I decided to format all partitions and install Build 23 from scratch and restore apps. I also decided to install Chevy's ULV 1100 Mhz kernel. DSP Manager and the video recorder still doesn't work. But other than those two issues, it's really running nicely. I can wait a bit longer for the video recorder. DSP manager is "nice", but I really don't care too much about that issue at all.

just flashed #23 still getting force closes on dsp manager.
I tried to enable DSP manager on my ultimate droid 3.0 the other day, an i was in the middle of a call, and it just broke my connection to my bluetooth. I had to disable the DSP manager an reboot my phone to get my bluetooth back working right. I was trying to turn down the bass in my bluetooth earpiece. Sometimes when im talking to people, they have so much bass in their voice, it shatters in my earpiece, making it hard for me to understand them.

ok, running build 23 and my battery said it was at 30%. Rebooted and it came back on at 50%, then after about 2 minutes, down to 20%...eh?!

DSP Manager was written with specific lib files that replaced the stock 2.2 lib files. I have a feeling that until those lib files are re-written for the replacement of 2.3 lib files that DSP is gonna FC on us every time.

I'm betting that it makes a quick check and reported what it *thought* was the correct value for the battery on boot. When it was at 30% (and how did you get 30% and 50% anyway? Supposed to be 20% increments until it hits 20%, then it goes in 5% increments), after the reboot and loading all apps it probably dropped down to an actual 20% value.

Remember, the difference in percentages is not absolute - since we don't have increments of single digits,a numerical reading of 30 percent can actually (probably) be anywhere from 35% to 34% (if standard rounding is used). Even if the ROM is now set to report in 10% increments, you're still looking at that 10 value range. So, if it said 30%, but was actually, say, 26%, and the reboot ate 2% due to loading apps and such, then it dropped to 24%, which would now read as 20%.

Ok so I haven't been able to get any texts since going to the nightlies, starting with 22 and now at 23. I'm using the standard SMS app. Anyone else having problems?

Nightly 23's first boot was very slow, but otherwise it's smooth. 24 gives me force-closes in the ROM manager, and WiFi is broken, no matter what kernel I use.

I haven't been having any of those problems with ROM manager or wifi. I'm also receiving all of my texts through Handcent and was receiving stock Messaging notifications at first, until I disabled them for Handcent. CM7 seems like the most complete and functional GB ROM out at the moment. I'm currently testing out the CROM beta, which is alleged to be fully functional. So far I've noticed that it is running just as well as CM7, but my only complaint is the lack of control over the extra settings that ROMS like CM and UD both offer.

I'm going to nandroid back to my 23 build and see if checking the keep message app in memory helps, I'm also going to turn of autokiller... hopefully that will help my text issues, I really love the build other then the text issues... pretty solid all the way around.

Ok update, looks like checking the keep messaging app in memory fixed the text issues. So if anyone else is having those issues try that.
