So sending this to every Android related blog/site/etc isn't attempting to generate hype?

They are clearly trying to generate hype. And they absolutely failed to deliver.
Yes this is the only phone they will announce until the end of time.If this is what Sprint has to battle monsters like the Atrix, I feel Sprint's in trouble =/
Please explain to me what the difference is between marketing and hype. And all these years in school for business management and marketing they teach you tthat is a marketing strategy. Man I want my money back!
Sprint has a long history with getting it whole head in front of the shotgun.
Personally, it is just one of many reasons that sprint is in third place, slipping to 4th place.
They just have no perception of the market.
Yes this is the only phone they will announce until the end of time.
Sorry guys, I know I'm off subject here so feel free to PM me instead of carrying on here. @330D Are you saying if you're currently eligible for an upgrade & you won't qualify after April 1 you lose your eligibility until your 2 years are up?? I also have a Hero & have the same problems. I qualified months ago for an upgrade but Sprint doesn't have anything I'm interested in but I sure don't want to lose my upgrade. This is going to bug me & Sprint's going to have a fight on their hands if this is the case.![]()

Idk, I was hoping for something bigger. BUT, I don't feel this is such a horrible thing that it will ruin me for Sprint forever. I've been with them for 8 years. While no, I don't like the $10 a month surcharge for smartphones, a lot of bloggers/people on the forums who were only being charged because they had Epics and Evos suggested they raise the rates for everyone. When Sprint did that (well, for all the "smartphones" anyway) everyone got all ticked. I was one of them, to be honest, b/c I went into the EVO knowing full well about the charge, as did everyone else who got them. Anyway, I did some comparison shopping and guess what? Sprint is still the best deal out there...and here are the key words...for ME. If you get crappy service with Sprint it shouldn't matter what kind of phones they offer. Just switch. I'm happy with my EVO and Optimus. When contract renewal time comes around I'll check the rates for gits and shiggles but chances are I'll stay with Sprint. And I'm like some others on here...I don't for one minute think that this is the latest and greatest that Sprint will offer. JMHO FWIW![]()
I actually like the concept and idea of the phone. LOL it's funny laughing at the diehard android throw a tantrum over this![]()
Between reading the Sprint facebook page, the phandroid and android central pages highlighting the Kyocera Echo, i am definitely having a good laugh at the seriousness people are taking over these phones lmao smh
Can't wait to see more reviews on it and hopefully something like this will come to t-mobile...albeit FFC, better camera and maybe a better proccessor
Microsoft had kin to experiment with prior to Windows Phone 7
and i truly think this is Kyocera/Androids/Sprint first attempt like the kin and hopefully that means better products will come out with this form factor
I think its Sprint fans, who are pissed about this. Not Android fans. People at ATT/VZW are probably having a good laugh about this.
Even David Blaine was too embarassed to be photographed at the event.

i hate how the hinge goew right through the middle of eveything.
and except for a few apps they deem able to run in split mode together.. only one app on each screen will run at a time! you can not watch a Movie on one.. and text on the other!!!!!!
why the F... you want a dual screen if you can not do the basic thing you want it for?????
.
It's not as much we are mad because the hype and announcement of what looks like a POS phone but it is the last straw in a mountain of mistakes by Sprint. We were hoping for a phone, at least, that would make up for everything Sprint has been taking away from us. For me it didn't and was just the last thing on the long list of things Sprint has done to disapoint me. Sprint is a company, I have no loyalty or friendship with them so device selection, service and price are the only thing I take into consideration. For me Sprint is not worth it anymore so I'm am switching to a pre-paid carrier and save $60+ a month and have a phone for what I need, making calls and texting.
