Need help unrooting!!!!

Sounds like a Kernel issue, I would try another kernel or nightly, I am sure if Andy is around he will assist you he knows CM 6 like the back of his hand, and is your phone Overclocked, as for GB simply set your CM6 up, then Nandroid and give GB a shot it is based on CM7 so you will be familiar with it once flashed

@DonB I'm tempted to try GB but I just got started with this. Thinking I better stick with this for a little while longer. ;)

BTW I'm having a little problem with CM 6.1. Sometimes, more often then I care for, my phone will freeze up if I get a call while my screen is off. I hear the ringtone and I try to unlock the screen which takes forever then once the screen unlock I get a frozen black screen til the call ends. The screen then unfreezes and I am able to call the person back and the phone acts normal again. Is this just a bug in the rom or is it a setting I need to adjust?

I have Overclock Widget and it is set screen on min-128000 & max-528000, screen off-same. It is set like this right now but I have tried everything in between. The reason it is set so low right now is cause I noticed under advanced setting it has an option for: use your frequencies-Caution: Maybe freeze your phone! It was selected so I unselected it and I have not seen as many FCs since then. When I unselected that it only gave me an option of 128000 thru 528000 which seems to do ok except for the phone call thing that happens on any setting I put it on.

sorry i dont mean to hijack your thread babygirl17_06 but i have a question.

if someone has sprint, and doesnt have a nandroid of the stock rom...would it work if you ran the system update that is available on the phone? wouldnt that flash over the stock RUU and remove root access? just curious because i may have to do it soon as well.

If you are on the stock 2.1, yes, you should be able to download an OTA update which should remove root access. If you don't have the stock ROM loaded, then you may need to run the RUU.

I would up your kernel frequencies to max 691, min 256. Personally, I never used the advanced setting with overclock widget, useless in my opinion.

Set the OC widget on a screen, press it and it will give you your min/max frequencies and set it to 691, 256(or around that). This should not make your phone freeze;) If you are still having random reboots or freezes, boot to recovery and wipe cache partition and wipe Dalvik cache, then reboot the phone.

I see your are on CM6, are you on the stable build from 10/28?

I went ahead and flashed the AOSP 2.3 Gingerbread and so far I LOVE it. It seems like all of it is working and I have not had any problems so far. It even has cured my phone from freezing when getting phone calls. I think I'm going to stick with this for a while. Thanks!

Enjoy and keep us posted, told you would not regret it ;)

There are other themes you can use to change that, there are a few over @XDA

Is there any mod out there to change the battery, cell signal, data signal and time in the notification bar for this ROM? They are too small for my taste.
