Best Buy Details

$250 is what you pay[before tax]. If Verizon sold it for $250 as well, you will pay $350 because you'll have to wait for the mail in rebate with Verizon[$100]. You don't need the mail in rebate with Best Buy or most online retailer, they give you the rebate right away.

Yes you must sign a 2 year agreement to get that price and no Best Buy cannot do one year contracts.

Unless you buy online. They have instant rebates. (Unless they changed something recently.)

I'm upgrading on an annual upgrade, so it's two-year or bust for me. Hopefully the T-Bolt holds its value for a while in case something bigger and badder comes out before my next upgrade. (I know the INC is sliding around the $200-$250 range on eBay, ad the X is around $300) I also just replied to my CS email asking if my annual would be ongoing since I'm an existing customer, or this would be the last time.

I also agree on insurance. Stick with the carrier.

So that ad has raised more questions about what the National Retail Exclusive means. VZW is still considered "Retail", does this mean to buy from VZW we have to get it online?

Ninjas are crazy for signing a 2 year contract on this phone... I mean, look at the lineup for the end of this year and early next year... mind.blown.

No offense, but not everyone needs the latest and greatest technology.
If that was the case, I'd blindly spend too much on phones every 3-6 months.

I have a family I prefer to spend my money and time on.

However....I'm about to be a blackberry convert....so based on that, that the extra features of this phone will subdue me for quite some time.

I'm in the IS field. I love technology...but that doesn't mean I have to be bleeding edge for everything.

If you spend the rest of your life waiting for the next best technology, you'll never make a leap.

NO offense...just saying I don't need to wait for the next phone which will have 380HP and V8 hemi sandwiched in it.

(By the way, my company has about 100 cell lines via VZW. So, if something earth shattering does come out...I use one of their upgrades.)

:)

Good for you, one of the few that doesn't care about phones posting on a phone forum...

OH.... no offense :D

I know I am coming into this late but I figured I would add to the madness. But I too work at BB and I went to check OUR RSS and it says there too that our "in stock date" is also on the 21st. Wich would still leave one to believe that the release date is around the 24th.

Shock /sarcasm. Of course your in stock date would say 2-21-11, it's the same company wide.

you only get one truck a week? How small is your store? lol

For the most part yeah, one truck a week. We usually get anywhere from 3k to 6k pieces per truck. Every wed or thur we also get the "white goods" truck wich mainly consists of appliances and the bigger TVs. The white truck is never a lot of pieces, most of the time its anywhere from 8 to 15 pcs

Hey J-man...

Thanks for helping your fellow forum members feel good about any early options on this device. I was thinking that Feb. 21, or Feb. 24, or $250.... all of these are easily within my tolerance range. Not that 250 is the easiest number in this economy, but it's for a good phone that will last for awhile. And, coincidently, is also my Verizon store salesperson's SAT score. So, it's all good.

By the way....this Monday...all of us local forum members will have our $50 gift cards and checks made out for our remaining balances. So, 12 noon... shady grove metro station...parking space e-5...code word paris hilton...got it? We'll all be happy to complete our T-bolt transactions with ya buddy!! If nothing else, you know that a guy traveling in a geek squad van loaded with the latest smart phone technology is bound to be a chic magnet. :D

Dang.. Shady Grove? Lets make it Van Dorn!

Frederick, MD for me. It's my favorite location even though we have one in Hagerstown, MD which is about 20miles from me instead of the 60 for Frederick. Hagerstown also doesn't sell Verizon because what'ya know, there's a deadspot with no Verizon coverage there.

its also the location that told me that Verizon won't be offering 1 year contracts on its future phones... :(
