Root CM 7.0 Nightlies

My Market isn't quite working. I had to restore apps from Titanium Backup. I can click on it, it opens up to a blank screen, and the closes again.

Scanning QR codes works, but when I click open in browser or something to have it open the app up for download using Market, it does the same thing. Just started with this version of the nightly.

I've seen that same issue as well. On this and another rom.

Is anyone else having WiFi connectivity issues on Build #37? It says my home WiFi network is out of range but I restored a backup of a different ROM and I can connect to it.

EDIT: Problem was fixed by wiping then re-installing. Not sure what prompted the issue.

my wifi works just peachy. and my market as well. with the htc eris with some roms i would occasionally come across a situation where market would force close several times, then be fine. if youve tried reopening it several times, and a reboot of the phone, maybe find a .apk of an older market and uninstall your current one,and install an older one. if it works, youll at least have a functioning market, and maybe it will even update itself to a functioning new one :)

Does someone have a link to the most recent GApps? Maybe flashing that again will help. I think one was released in February but all I'm seeing is the January one. That may be the issue?

Been using it as my daily driver for a couple weeks now, solid ROM... I would actually say this is one of their best releases and it is still on nightlys.

Ditch that 6.1.2 and come on over. :)

lol im going to give it a try today. i just saw that Build # 38 was releaved.

Any one haveing problems with #38???

Several of the GB ROMs that I've tried does this to my phone. I have yet to figure out what caused it, or how to fix it. CM7 ROMs have never done this to my DROID however ... go figure. Sorry I can't be more help. :o
This also happened to me. I got out of it by waiting for the market app to complete its download and using the back button several times. There I discovered that there were still some options to choose to finish setting up the ROM. Apparently the Market app jumps the gun a bit and does its thing before the whole process is complete and so...no "home" button.

Regarding the TiBu issue, I don't see it being one. I always use TiBu and my CM7 nightly has been rock solid. Of course, you should never use it to restore system settings, especially cross OS versions, but restoring stuff like alarms, wifi/bt settings, dictionaries, has never caused me problems.

I don't use Apps2SD, so maybe that is one of the problems? Not sure. I started running the nightlies at V30, but have not had a single issue with the phone since.

The only time I had any problem with TiBu and CM7 was coming to my first nightly (I think around 20 something) and doing a full wipe from 6.1.2, the problem wasn't with restoring settings though (I only ever restore green). The problem was that TiBu wasn't seeing over half of my app back ups. They were on the SD card in the folder when I looked in RootExplorer. However TiBu just wouldn't even show them to be restored.

Don't know what that issue was about but I'm guessing it has something to do with TiBu and GB...

I've got a new issue starting with 37: when I bring up google maps and start entering an address, about halfway through typing the street name, the maps app will close and google search will open. Doesn't matter how I try opening maps (maps icon, nav icon) same thing. Anyone else seeing this?

When I switched to CM7 V30, I was coming off of a BB Froyo build. Restored everything with TiBu and had no issue. Maybe people who are having problems are either restoring parts of their system when they shouldn't, or had an apps2sd issue.

I will note, I usually don't restore google apps or settings since those sync anyway. I think that might be THE issue with restoring in TiBu. I know google restore has been wreaking havoc on other GB roms.

I just tried this in 38 and while typing, the google suggestions pops up, but I can still type the address. When I hit search it goes right into maps like it should.

Arrgh. My market won't update with 38. I wiped everything for a clean start, too. I can see my apps at market.android.com, and I can install from there, but nothing is happening automatically. Any ideas?

This may not be helpful but I just wanted to let you know that I just tested and my Maps app functions normally on build #38. So it's not a universal issue. If it keeps up try wiping and reinstalling and see if that helps.

I have been having lots of issues with Gingerbread across multiple different ROMs and was starting to think that it may be TiBU.

There is a MyBackupPro and a MyBackupRoot. The first is $5 and the second is free. What is the difference? I am wishing to try this app to see if it makes a difference and doesn't cause the issues I have been seeing.

This is so strange. I've tried several nightly versions and I have the same problem: after the GApps installation in Market, all I can see are my purchased apps, but they are not installed. None of my free apps are visible...and they don't automatically download.

Because it's been reproduced after so many wipes/installs, I wonder if there is some setting that is integral to MY Market that is causing the problem. I can push them from the web site as I said before. I'm going to try another GB rom to see if this will reproduce just because this is driving me crazy!

Second thought: maybe this has something to do with setting apps to be installed externally?

It turns out that it was a problem with any GB Rom I tried, so I restored from the Market web site by clicking on each app individually. I tried restoring with TiBu too, but they wouldn't show up in the Market on my phone so I just did it the hard way.

Now I'm having a different problem: every time the phone reboots it loses my Home default, which is Launcher Pro. I also lose all of my widgets, both on the native launcher and Launcher Pro. And occasionally after sleeping I will lose random widgets and have to replace them. I'm on build 40. Anyone else see anything like this?

I see in your post above that you have all your apps set to install externally. If that's still the case, then it's very likely it's causing all the problems you're seeing with LP and your widgets. Go into Settings>Applications>Manage applications, then to the sdcard tab. If LP is there, move it to internal, same with any widgets on the sdcard.
