I've never understood how changing the kernel works.. I think the kernel is in boot.img so you need to find a custom kernel that someone built especially for the GT540 and flash is using fastboot. Why do you need another kernel anyway? As for Clockwork Recovery, you must install it via fastboot before you can get into it; once you've installed it, just hold the home button while switching the phone on and it'll display the LG logo for a few seconds, continue to hold the home button and it'll boot into Clockwork Recovery
yeah, i installed it via fastboot, and, via rom manager, and via terminal, nothing shows up, not even the lg logo, it just vibrates when it gets powered on but then, nothing happens , i want to change the kernel , because seems like the gameloft HD games won't run with the 2.6.29 kernel , and i read in another forum that changing it with a newer one , 2.6.32, will fix it
have you istalled the clockwork recovery as it won work if you havent
yes i have
3D doesn't work I suppose. I tried NFS Shift and Pirate Wings, but they crashed at the start itself. Also tried Asphalt 5 and it doesn't work either.
Also what does 3D-accelerator mean? Is it related to 3D support?
the 3D does work, i tried some of the HD games, some won't run, and some, run but won't fit the screen,
for example, raging thunder 2 runs awesome, steel wings does too, even PES 2011 runs fine, but fast & furious 7 runs at very low frame rates, as this game when installed tells you that it was made for 800x480 screens however once the games start it changes the resolution to 480x320
