Can't say for cool, but I'm a mod, so I'll give two cents.
First, I own an Evo, wife has new Evo Shift. The difference between 1st and 2nd generation chips here is phenomenal. Second, I work in the semiconductor industry in R&D, so I know the reasons for that are neither circumstantial nor coincidental.
The little Shift in its stock form is nearly matching my customed kernel setup in speed and smoothness and the battery life is blowing me away - at a 20% reduction in clock speed.
The Thunderbolt is promising all that and more.
And wait until you live with a kickstand - that's no gimmick, that's a breakaway feature that will change how you use a phone. Trust me, you have no idea!
I have superior Sprint coverage, and rule one is pick your carrier.
Otherwise, I'd be all over the Thunderbolt like yellow on a lemon.
Trust me, compadres, this phone is going to be well worth the wait x10.
