G'morning everyone! Can't wait to be less than productive at work today due to my obsession of ditching my G1 for the TB.
Jay (or anyone else that works at BB)- If you can get ur hands on this Sunday's ad, that would be interesting.
I went into a VZW store last night to see if I could uncover any details, the rep., although not the brightest, did seem to indicate it was coming sooner than later.
I might head into BB on my lunch break since I can walk there from work. Maybe I'll even hit up another VZW store on my way home.
I will say this though, I could barely sleep because I kept having dreams about seeing actual TB boxes in a BB store. This phone is literally the phone of my dreams at the moment.

Heads Up. There is a report on the web when you Google " HTC Thunderbolt" that the release date was make official by a Facebook page owned by VZW that the release date is March 21, 2012. This is a lie. Do not believe this. The page is fake n is not VZW owned. Just letting everyone know b4 someone jumps the gun

The husband says that if he doesn't have it IN HIS HANDS (slow and deliberate speech inserted) by March 7th, he is going iPhone.
I told him I was sure that saying things like that are grounds for divorce, and any judge would see it my way.

March 7th is a fair date. Anything later and I will go with something else also. A delay that long means serious network issues. I don't need that. But an iPhone? I don't hate myself. Just cause I want a hot pizza and can only get yesterday's leftovers doesn't mean I choose to eat sawdust!

Ha! When my husband heard the iPhone was finally coming to VZW he had a quick thought about getting it. I had to remind him of the freedoms he would be losing. The ability to change your own battery, swap out your memory card, customize your phone, NOT use iTunes, to name a few. He saw the light pretty quickly. For added protection, I pulled up a side-by-side picture of the iPhone and Droid X. (He has the X) He laughed out loud.
I can see going from iPhone to Android, but not the other way around.

More groundless speculation!
When I was on the road yesterday, I stopped by a VZW store in East Peoria. I asked the manager if he knew when it would be released. He said he just got there, checked with a subordinate and said, "no firm date". When I got home, I stopped in the Best Buy. The mobile rep also had no date and handed me a quarterly buyers' guide.
But! Best Buy had two pedestals at the front of the mobile section for Bolt dummy phones with the $250 price tag we've seen on the Internet. "Valid 2/20 thru 3/26." They weren't there last week and I doubt they'd leave those empty long. They had also taken down the signs offering pre-orders for $50 deposits.
They had dummy phones for the AT&T Inspire. If the frame of the Bolt is anything like the Inspire, I'll be happy.

I love the developments on a daily basis with Android, roms, apps etc. No way will I ever leave Android, and if I do you can bet it won't be for the iCrap.

Taking down the signs for preorder isn't necessarily a good thing though. Chances are folks want refunds now, as the phone wasn't delivered by whenever they were promised. My store is also no longer taking preorders, never found out why. PLEASE let it rain today, and mix a lil THUNDERbolt in the mix. lol

Another BlackBerry convert here, too. I had the Pearl, Pearl Flip, a few Curves, the Storm1 and Storm2.
Then the Moto Droid, Droid X, and now the INC. Wow. It sounds like a lot when you type it all out. You know, even when I had a BlackBerry, the thought to switch to the iPhone never crossed my mind. I liked being able to upgrade my phone whenever I wanted, customize it however I wanted. Even playing with an iPhone and seeing the speed difference didn't sway me at all. It's like if you have an iPhone, they own you.

I'm sure you did. In my opinion (everyone eles might disagree) it really isn't BB fault that they took preorders on a phone that they were supposed to have in store on a certain date to sell. You can only sell what you have, and you can only have it when the company tells you a date, and the company can only tell you a date if the manufacturer..... See where I'm going? I just completely disagree with folks that are laying this all on BB.
