Help my huawei ascend wont turn on

when i tried to install the 2.2.1 rom on my huawei ascend it said update aborted and then i tried to reboot it it kept repooting now it just stays on the huawei screen :( someone please help me

Very sorry to hear that! Whose instructions did you use? Were they here in this forum? You may have to flash back to stock and either start all over again or else wait for the official. Have you tried Icarus? You can always flash Icarus if you can't get the bootleg Froyo working right.

i used the one on myascend.org and how do i flash back
 
See there's a prob from the get go. If something goes wrong and you can't access it through your phone you're basically screwed unless you have a backup somewhere else.

I think someone in their directions did say to back up to the computer just in case.

Dumb question I'm sure...but did you take the battery out for a few mins and then put it back in?
 
when it kept rebooting it always went back to cwm and before the last time i tried to reboot it i went to storage and it said format system and i thought it would delete everything and go back to normal and it said format boot and i thought it would make it stop rebooting and now it wont start
 
I have the same problem i tried taking out the battery for several minutes but when i turn it on it just stays on the white huawei screen what can i do? :(
 
my huawei ascend 2.2 andriod system isnr working the screen is blank the llast time i was on it i was listening to musiq then it started to static and discombobulated on the screen i still her sounds when i get txt messages but wen i got phone calls it sends ppl straight to voicemall i tried taking the battery out and restartin it only its doing the same thing someone plz help me my phone was my life my everything

Hello, welcome to the forum. If nobody else has a solution to this, I would take it back to the store. It sounds like a hardware problem that should be covered under warranty. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

now is a good time to use the warranty. ;)
 
If your warranty is no longer valid and you have purchased insurance when you bought your phone from metropcs be advised: YOUR PHONE WILL BE REPLACED WITH THE M835 MODEL. A much smaller phone with a smaller screen.

Not entirely true. I went to a corporate store the other day for massive text messaging sending fail, and by the way I walked in there running CM7.1 oc'd @ 729, and was even helped by the manager and he couldnt fix my sending problem even after resetting my signal and what not. Told me he couldnt back the warranty or the insurance warranty since I was rooted and running CM7 but told me "if I came back and it was completely stock then he guess he would have too". And I asked him since they dont carry the Ascend anymore if I would be down graded to the M835 or would I be able to swap it out for the Optimus and he said "Nope if the phone comes back completely stock then I can send out for another Ascend and have it here in a couple days." Metro discontinued selling the Ascend as we all know but they can still order one to replace yours.
