I would say that will never be seen again because it still has skype in it

Skype will be on the TB, the app isn't set to be released until Feb. 28th. When they were planing on getting the phone out today is when the Skype stuff was removed from the TB VZW page. Trust me the phone will have Skype.

BMX just tweet a few hours ago that they are still trying to get the thing released in Feb.

@ElMalevo we are trying to get it out in feb. But next few days will tell the tale. I will update if my original date in march changes.

It seems that the reason no one has a firm answer is because NO ONE ACTUALLY KNOWS. There is a problem. When it gets fixed, phone will be released. Why would Verizon want to announce to the world that they are having problems? I know I wouldn't.

Honestly I would rather hear that than nothing. As long as they are trying to fix it at least. They aren't handling this well. Personally I just know I would appreciate some transparency on the whole subject.

Cant say I disagree. The real problem was letting Best Buy "announce" a date. But from a business perspective a ton of bad press about your upcoming LTE service is not the kind of impression you want to leave with people right before you launch it. Even if it is not LTE related, a bunch of angry folks on the net is nothing compared to the mass media they could get if they came out and announced problems.

What I've been saying this whole time, but they did and there's nothing they can do about it now, except actually explaining why it didn't work that way, what exactly they are doing to fix it, and when we might expect it. VZW is just being silent and silence doesn't sound like productivity either. If they don't say anything what are customers going to think other than "VZW has left us out to dry"?

If they make any kind of statement I probably won't be happy but at least I can say hey, they're doing something to fix it and get it to me soon. Instead they are still rolling out new products like there's nothing going on.

Thought it might be worth mentioning that the forum has a search function. Since most of us are all over this release like crazy, usually the same thing is getting posted several times.

I know search functions aren't perfect, but it would be worth attempting one before creating a new thread/posting a link. I know most people probably aren't as crazy as I am and haven't read every post in these release related threads, so this is a quick way to help with the disappointment/let down everytime a new thread/post about already existing "news" is created.

To anyone that actually used the search function before posting/starting a new thread, my apologies. Like I said, I know it's not a perfect science.

About every other rumor we hear on the TB says either

-Trust me
-I'll bet
-Guaranteed

Certainly all such expressions have become empty, thus it seems prudent to stop using them. JMHO...

Well considering that Skype said the app would be released on the Android Market on Feb. 28th, do you really think that it is going to only not work on the TB? Skype might not be on the phone when it launches, but I highly doubt that the TB will not be able to have Skype. So yes I would say trust me the TB will have Skype.
